Why did you switch the fabric.? From pfizer to twitchell.
@WindowScreenMFG-KoSS2 күн бұрын
@WesleyChaffin well 2 huge reasons. Phifer started importing a large part of the core from China. Made a lot of Companies mad. Twitchell is still 100% American made and has a limited lifetime warranty. Phifer has only 10yts and is very, very difficult to even use the warranty

the King of Solar ....Great Video ...Here on East Coast of Florida --New Smyrna Beach -- have you ever used plunger / plastic holders for screen ...does direct screwing into frame get worn out when wanting to clean the windows? Aluminum Frame vs Vinyl
@WindowScreenMFG-KoSS15 күн бұрын
@donaldgors1289 excellent question. Because of our high winds, Coastal living, we only use Screws. I take mine off every year for a deep cleaning,21yrs now, and so gar never any problem with the screw hole. However, I have replaced a few screws along the way beach they started getting ugly lol...I do like the plastic holders, although at times hard to find, they also take a beating in our hot Texas sun, so they begin deterating after a few seasons.

How do you determine how to secure the window screens to the window frame without breaking the window.
@WindowScreenMFG-KoSS15 күн бұрын
@robertpalma9451 I surely always make sure the screws are far away from the glass. And I can say, with all honesty, in 21yts I have broken only 1 window and I quickly payed to have it replaced. Truly just check where you are mounting the Screen to make sure you don't hit glass
@robertpalma945115 күн бұрын
I haven't hit glass or broken a window, that's my greatest fear I'm leaning towards using 3M velcro when ever it's practical.
