1) Thanks for the comment. I'll try to make some changes. 2) I understand the thumbnail problem. My point was showing matchup and lane/role with a bit of extra space for additional info if needed. I know it is a bit confusing for a newcomer but having Katarina on every thumbnail felt bad as every video is about her. 2.1) I've never thought about people being interested in my content from recommendations where they only filter by the thumbnail. I've more expected approach like "I wanna see how is played Katarina vs Yasuo Mid -> search for that -> finds me -> maybe follow for more Katarina content" 3) Yeah, I'm a terrible commentator and have no idea what to do about that. Maybe it's because I'm too experienced in the game but I just don't know what to talk about... Like talking about what I'm doing feels like I think the viewer is stupid because he can't understand what he sees without it being explained. Then the question is - Is it worth to have mic on just for the few sentences in critical moments? And will the commentary attract more people? Because people might rather watch a silent "live replay" than being distracted by a commentary in language they don't understand. After all there is a channel "challenger replays" with 300k subs that only downloads and records in-game replays which is kinda what I do except I also show key presses, mouse movement and camera positioning so my content is actually better

​​@@RavenousKatarinai understand, you re trying to create a simple video + thumbnail but the problem is that its way too simple. My recommandations are to keep the same thumbnail but also add katarina in the opposide dirrection of the champ you re playing against. It doesnt have to be the same katarina picture. You can use her other skins or some AI pictures if you must. The video commentary is non negotiable. We need to have some sort of communication. We need to know whats inside your brain and why you decided to make a move. What made you decide to make a move and how you gonna do it etc. Thats the information someone who wants to get better at katarina wants. And you re video is laking that. I see you engage on nocturne and you kill it, but what made you act on that decision? Was it that his E was down? Was it that his q was down? His passive? Is it because you re going to hit lv 6 faster? Etc. If you re english skills are not great, you can just add text or after you record the video, speak over it And yes you need to think the viewr is stupid because you re addressing to a large type of people. You can address to iron players but also to diamond players. The diamond player will understand you when you speak to the iron player, the iron player will not understand you when you speak to the diamond player. See my point? You gotta assume the viewer is BAD in every way shape and form. And since i work in customer support ii assure you most people are braindead by default anyway. =))

@@katstinct601 Making voice over of a full game is disgusting and timing subtitles is even worse. You can think 10x faster than you can speak or read so explaining why I do something before It's already done needs the video to be paused. Then I need to watch the end product where I find 20 moments that could be explained better and the work starts over. I've actually done 2 commented laning tutorials (if you are interested www.youtube.com/@RavenousKatarina/search?query=step%20by%20step%20tutorial) The first is 11 minutes video of 8 minutes of gameplay with Robo-English commentary that took 12 hours to edit and the other is czech voice over with english YT CC that took like 6 hours and then another 2 hours of making first 5 minutes of the captions after which I gave up because the YT caption maker is pure torture. I'd be glad if you could watch them and tell me your opinion. They're like the peak of my creation. One of the biggest problems with live commentary is discord call with premades. Most of my games I play with a friend and we talk about our personal lives. It's not in english, it's not game relevant and it probably shoudn't be even publicly available. Then it's just about quantity vs quality. Now I do 10 videos per month and sometimes I delete good games because I have too many of them. With the quality approach I could do like 2-3 per month.

But if you want a deep dive about what all is so wrong about them, there is a page "Why no Rankeds?" in the google doc linked in the video description. I was in high Master elo in 2018 and from Master players I played against recently I think it would be even easier to get there now than before.

Our Ashe was inting entire game. She inted my lane already at level 1 so their Zed was 3/0 before he even hit level 6 and I was 1700 gold behind at 10 minutes due to that. Not sure what skills you wanna see but like any other Katarina player would end up 0/10 in that situation so 4/3/5 is quite good considering we lost every lane. If we could stabilize and come back it would be better but they just crushed us too hard for me to do anything. I'm not interested in getting pings from a guy that plays the game only to ruin it for others, so I mute. I mute all because it's 10x easier than to mute 1 specific person... blame RITO for that. Also how the chat makes the game better? 99% of everything in the chat is just people being toxic anyway. Even when I see the chat I got used to ignore it as it's full of BS not worth reading.

That's 4 less kills for enemy laner than from a typical jungler! But yeah, losing 70% of life on every camp is fun.

@@RavenousKatarina if you kite the camps you will not have as difficult of a clear, you can also go absorb life for increased healing afterr killing camps

From my experience kiting is only waste of time and even health because you get attacked while going away even though there is 10 meters gap between you and the monster and then you get another hit when you come back. It only works a bit for krugs and raptors because they can block each other but that's it. Maybe I'm just bad at it, maybe it only works for champs with bigger attack range...

Wdym by "lowtier"? In this particular game there were 3 Diamonds, 3 Masters and 1 Challenger player. That might be "lowtier" for you but it's surely not for 95% of players. What exactly do you find as "depressingly bad" on my gameplay? Katarina has weak earlygame averaging negative gold and level lead at 15 minutes at every ELO. My average is +1500 gold and +0.5 level lead at 15 minutes. Then I usually end the game with most dmg while also having really high KDA so where is the badness you are talking about? Not sure what "best" means for you but I can assure you that I have 100% WR in mirror matches out of probably several hundrets of games. Obviously in a game I play as a Support or against an unkillable tank on Top and the other Katarina gets fed on Mid in the meantime then being the "best" gets a bit complicated.

Nechápu, co ti na tom vadí. Kdyby tvůj rodný jazyk byla angličtina, připadaly by ti úplně stejně špatný ty originální hlášky... Navíc je to tam jen napsané, zvuk hlasatele mám ve hře vypnutý.

To už jsem zkoušel a živý komentování mi fakt nejde... vůbec nevím, o čem bych měl mluvit. (Moje první video na kanále má živý komentář, jestli to chceš slyšet, akorát ta hra tam nestojí za nic) Taky mi mikrofon bere zvuk ze hry, čehož nevím, jak se dobře zbavit, takže by to mělo ozvěnu, a navíc většinu her hraju s někým a spíš se bavíme spolu, než že bych nějak komentoval hru. @@howee6327 Jo, být průměrně o nějakých 600 goldů pozadu v 10. minutě zní hodně silně... A Zed možná není nejlepší CSer na rychlost, ale prakticky s ním nejde missnout minion, protože kliká za 120 už na lvl 1 a protože to není spell, tak nemusí čekat na CD, ani nemusí nic mířit a nemůže mu ani dojít mana na rozdíl od těch "ostatních".

Jak se bez indikátorů může hrát lépe? Já to taky nechápu... víc mě zajímalo, jestli mi jede nahrávání, než že mám něco nakupovat :D

@@RavenousKatarina tak jasný, někomu se může hrát líp tak a někomu tak to já neberu žejo :D každopádně nepřemýšlel si někdy hrát třeba rankedy? nebo tak něco? jelikož jsem se chtěl podívat na staty u tebe a vidím že hraješ jen normálky :D + mě teda dostalo to že hraješ jenom normálky a máš 6,8mil na katě, za tu dobu by ses v rankedech o mnohem víc zlepšil co se týče mechanik, samozřejmě tutok není žádný hate :D ale i tak 6,8 mil na katě a hrát takto :D no nevím nevím

@@kosteleckyjakub V rankedech se mi povedlo se dostat na Master elo, takže už nemám důvod je dál hrát. Ale mám v plánu to teď přes léto zase zkusit, jestli mi do toho něco nevleze. Co myslíš tím "hrát takto :D no nevím nevím" ? To není kritika, ze které si můžu něco vzít. Řekni, co se ti nezdá, ať se třeba můžu hájit.

How am I almost always losing? Average Bronze Katarina is 400 gold behind at 15 minutes lowering to 100 gold behind at 15 minutes for Master players. My average at 15 minutes is being 1000 gold AHEAD. Also my death average at 10 minutes is 0.5 and 0.6 at 15 minutes while in any other elo those averages are between 1.3 and 2.
