Debt based money is the problem. Banks that conjure up "value" out of thin air are your problem... When governments are complicit in an obvious fraud like the fractional reserve ponzi scheme they should never be expected to provide justice.

So my concern here is that whilst I may or may not agree with you. Why is it that there are very few if any political and economic systems that are hard lined socialist or communist that have ever gone on to create a long protracted period of economic and prosperity? Is this simply just because the west and capitalists have just always managed to obtain and hold onto power, capital and the means of production? Or is it that those systems always made it to the top. I also want to say that yes, absolutely, Adam Smiths version of capitalism is not what we are seeing today.

Leftists totally misunderstand Trump. The right that is behind him are more sympathetic to your causes than the Liberals will ever be. All you need to do is compromise on a few key issues like Immigration which is already something that would help labor, the 2nd amendment, which again would help the left.

If Zambia was able to capture most of the revenues from her extractive industry... how come Zambia got so heavily indebted? See? It's not just "taxing the rich or the corporations" if Governments don't manage their budgets productively... then they will end up in worse situation than if they allowed greedy corporations fight it out among them... After all... what we call "Government" is NOTHING BUT A PRIVATE CORPORATION WITH ALMOST UNLIMITED MONOPOLY AND TYRRANICAL power... so putting all our eggs on... Government as the misguided so called Marxists or pseudoLeftits (more like CryptoFascist Authoritarians) preach... is an exercise of shooting ourselves on our feet... It's asinine to put it politely.

The mission was to have a spot, where people can flee away from imperialism. We have gained the reputation of the imperialist, because we fight to stop it, and have failed in our mission to be the safe place to escape to and start a life. We are suppose to be the land of the free and the brave, and we elected our leader in fear of immigrants. It's not the same country I grew up in.

Did Lenin really say war is a profitable thing in a good way? I think he meant the greed of milirary elites are drawn to war like a magnet because it floats their career and gun manufacturers are drawn to war and influence its arising. But Lenin did not mean it was profitable for the people who are the ones to pay in blood and taxes

My family fought against British colonial rule in Cyprus. 1955 - 1959. British are wanted in Greece for war crimes. It's disgusting to see the UK government trying to sweep their atrocities under the rug instead of persecuting all of the terrible British involved. My great-grandfather was tortured to death by the British and my grandmother survived but she had to run to escape torture, and she managed to hide in a well, gashing and breaking her leg on the descent. She died a few years later in my mother's arms. I know that a few British people had nothing to do with the invasion of Cyprus, Greece, but there is still some semblance of hate within me towards the British. My family hate the Scottish bagpipes and hate the Scottish people from Scotland. In Greece and Cyprus, we Call the British invaders, bastards and terrorists.

First you have to elect a govt who WANTS to run essential services and CAN run them properly, and we are a long way off that. Govt has to invest in proper training, career paths, and mentorships when they have done nothing but destroy them. They also have to bring back the regulatory framework which was removed to assist profiteering.

I haven't read Grace's book. So this can't be a comment on it. Just to get a general complaint of the Left (as I have experienced it on-line) out the way before I offer something constructive; like everybody else who uses these social media platforms, I get suggested content on various solutions. What I can't be bothered with though is in-fighting between those in favour of 'Flat-Hierarchies' vs 'Top-Down-Hierarchies' - I'm simplifying with the distinctions, but broadly, the disagreements between the two camps just seems childish and unnecessary to me frankly. I worked for a time in Project Management for a Nuclear Power Company, where I had a background in Engineering Design. There I was introduced to the approach of 'Matrix Organisations', which combine both 'Flat-Hierarchies' and 'Top-Down-Hierarchies'. In, say, very 'Top-Down' organisations, they'll often be very slow to adapt - if at all. Whereas 'Flat-Hierarchies' are very adaptable and innovative, but - you guessed it - often lack the resources that 'Top-Down' organisations have. An example of 'Flat-Hierarchies' in action would be 'Project Teams' - these will be people working across disciplines with a focus on getting the 'Project' they are working on progressed from start to finish. This is very different to a 'Top-Down' approach of people sticking to one discipline in perhaps just one part of a department - passing work from one person to another, from 'In-Tray' to 'Out-Tray'. Obviously, on a human level, the latter way of working - while very efficient - is very Alienating and perhaps not even as effective, innovative or as fast. 'Matrix Organisations' combine both approaches by having people specialising in one discipline in one part of a department (as in the 'Top-Down' approach) having effectively 'Two Bosses' - one of their bosses will be the conventional boss from the 'Top Down' department they work for, while their other boss will be managing a Project from start to finish using a 'Flat-Hierarchy' approach. So the 'Flat Hierarchy' project approach effectively poaches people from different disciplines and departments within an organisations as and when they are needed. 'Matrix Organisations' aren't, I don't think, tied to any political background per say. But they are widely used in industry by some very large and successful companies - obviously probably none of them in the UK, because we're just sh*t at everything (the Nuclear Power Company I was working for went bust in the 2007/2008 financial crisis if you can believe that). Perhaps in terms of society as a whole, 'Projects' could be led by people addressing problems in their community who lack the resources of 'Top Down' organisations to solve them. I think looking through the lens of 'Matrix Organisations' as I have above. We can just give up on the idea that Politicians can ever be separated from Corporations - i.e. try and solve 'Corruption'. And instead just try and get the system to work more effectively, who-ever represents the 'Top-Down' portion of it, be they a Politician or a Ceo or whatever. By allowing 'Flat Hierarchies' to operate within structures in society rather than keeping them out and attacking them for purely political and ideological reasons - or indeed vice-versa.

Why would Lenin make you nervous in the same way Mussolini does? They are extremely different in ideology and in what they actually did. Mussolini built an authoritarian state of repression and violence to protect capitalism and enforce a warmongering brutal dictatorship, Lenin freed Russia from the brutality of the tsars and took it from a feudal peasant serfdom to a space faring world superpower that defeated the n@zis and gave rights to women and supported workers councils

For all of Lenin's faults, he at least had decent economic analysis and his concept of economic imperialism is a useful framework. I'm not a Leninist at all (I don't even like Lenin very much) but "Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism" has some useful concepts.

Progressives are tragically coward and narrow minded. Imperialism is the natural end state of ALL governmental forms, when internal controls are absent. The old Soviet Empire, in my lifetime's memory was demonically brutal to nations within its sphere, and it own citizens. The darker form of imperialism is what Progressives invariably show no courage to confront. Fascism. Autocracy. Rulers, empowered for life, with an almost mystical, coerced mandate, these people, they are this place's darkness. For all of human time, these beings, effortlessly assail ethnic, religious, or ideological others within their sphere of influence. Before the isms of governance, like Capitalism, these beings were effectively divine. They are twisting truth, reality again, mounting a return in the Americas, Europe. Africa. Asia. For once in your cowering world of half truths, Progressives. Concede that the 'Strongman Rulers' are the evil of humankind. Lend your followers to help stop them. Realize that before the emperors were divine, they were simply, ungodly, madmen.

How we can explain the fact that the vast majority of economic exchange was always among developed economies? This was true even when Lenin wrote the famous and so faulty brochure about imperialism. The main corpus of the theories of imperialism do not comply with Marx's analysis. The perception that the rich countries enjoy higher profits basically because they rip off the poor countries, that capitalism is a zero sum game or that free competition and trade are secondary traits and capitalism can do without them are all incompatible with Marx's analysis.

Between "around 1900" and "around 2000," nothing has really changed. Those who intended to use DIVISION to RULE are still the same type of people, only slightly shapeshifted. Apart = separate = divide. Apartheid = divide and rule RULE by DIVISION. Don't try to hide the strategy, by inventing new terms. Only the weakest of minds will never acknowledge what they are really doing. Set people and groups up against each other, and then rule over, or gain from polarization. *Critical question: how does a minority CONTROL a majority? How does a faraway empire, control a large group of people? Correct answer, call "them" (outgroup) a "potential tyranny" and divide them.* The DIVIDED being "sown dissent upon," by the dividers from outside, in slow incremental steps. APARTHEID EMPIRES *All historical European global empires, incl. the British Empire, were of course **_"Apartheid empires"_** since they had two/three-tier systems as default settings.* They practiced divide-and-rule as a matter of policy, just like South African systems of power did in Southern Africa, not only *inside* the own borders, but beyond the own borders. Apart = separate = divide. Divide-and-control/rule. Gain from polarization. To RULE by DIVISION. A globally operating HEGEMONY can likewise play the same divide-and-control/rule games everywhere on the globe and that the borders need never change in order to play the "games". The previous HEGEMONS had the clout to practice divide-and-rule as a matter of policy, just like Washington DC systems of power did in the USA, not only *inside* the own borders, but beyond. *To play games, the borders need never change. All it needs is POWER, a set of rules for ordering everybody else around, and a position of impunity from any setbacks.* The attitude is then that somebody else can pick up the tab if anything goes wrong, then strut about like the sun shines out of the own you-know-what. Point the finger, at the DIVIDED. Gain from polarization. Today, our easily-deceived Western leaders in the self proclaimed "good West" (not strategists) tell us that there will be peace, as long as everybody adheres to the belief system that *"the borders may never change".* Everybody who changes the established borders is "evil" (unless of course, it is the own capital cities, or their proxies doing so: then it is "justified" by finger-pointing somewhere else). The own tiered system of "us/them" says so, so it must be "true." Hypocrisy is not a moral failure, but a strategy of power. Calling out the immoral, won't change them, since they don't care what you think, nor do they HAVE to care... The psychological term for when people accuse others of something they themselves have done or are doing is almost always projection when some form of gain is involved, such as politics. The allegory of "finger pointing, three fingers pointing back" is also spot on, because the "pointing finger" is mostly accompanied by very vocal theatrics, whilst the "three fingers" are kept hidden. The ancient allegory hints at causality, because own previous actions kept quiet, are also the CAUSE of the "pointing finger" the finger-pointer tries to deflect to. It is the same hand "CAUSING" and POINTING. This is not only an allegory, but also a strategy of power which politicians and other systemic gain models use to distract, misinform, obfuscate, or deflect blame: the weakest and therefore the most unworthy form of leadership ("buck passers") thus wiggle and slime their way into power. Unfortunately weak and pathetic deceivers are usually very common in systems of democracy/capitalism. *When one is in a sea of finger-pointers, the true leader rises to the challenge, and takes the blame, and then leads towards solutions.* We have none. We vote for slimy deceitful finger-pointers, and too many people stuck in the "bread and circuses"-existences looooove the show...

No matter which system of workplace/government we have, if the focus is solely on human needs, the ecosystem and all the other species will continue to be liquidated. The world monetary/State problem is obviously a branch of our poly crisis/meta crisis (call it what you like) which has its root cause in human beings ability to do on an industrial scale what other animals do with inhibitions. What this talk has reiterated for me is that this general “mindset” which is currently characteristic of a majority of our species cannot be stopped except by the brakes of Nature. The inertia alone of this titanic is scarcely comprehensible. This is not to say, “do nothing,” but rather to say (or, rather, repeat) what St. Thomas Aquinas once said: “Love, and so as you like.” Compassion and kindness (even to the cruel) is all that I find ever have or ever need.
