this happened to me yesterday with my mavic pro 2. I just took off with a full battery, was hovering at around 15 meters altitude and i got this warning and it started to descend, with no option to ascend. i could only move forward back or sideways. The problem is i was flying over water and i tried to quickly reach this nearby rocky island... I was a few seconds too late as the drone only managed to hit the edge of the rock and fall into the water. The water was shallow and i could retrieve the drone but, it was fully submerged in salt water so I think its pretty much destroyed.. going to try and send it in to DJI and hoping they can rectify this.

same here. sudden battery drop and immediately landing. battery works but drone refuses to use battery and says battery over-discharged.

So what are you all saying,? Not to use the battery for long range 3ks out is not much for battery and to return.. What most of you are saying here is not to use battery from 100 to 30 percent since 6 kilometres is over in almost 12 minutes of flying..

That music fits that footage perfectly😁 Sad that you lost the drone, I would cancel return to home and search the closest land area, That would give you some chance of finding the drone... But its always risky to fly so far... :(

I just flying my x8 2020 and on the return home, the battery went from 30% to critical in the snap of the fingers. I was lucky that I was over a field as the drone went into an emergency landing. Needless to say the battery was deemed defective even after getting it to full charge. The drone will no longer fly with that battery. Another drone person on youtube said that a virus has been installed if the battery ever gets to critical you must buy a new one. another 70.00 dollars down the drain!!!

Fack it happened to me yesterday. I have only 13 cycles. Yesterday I had two short flights and remaining battery around 40+ and I thought let's have another short one. I had the drone about 100m above me and suddenly the battery goes from 40 to 0 and I see the red warning to land. Fortunately I took the drone down before a free fall like yours. What a fail Fimi!

you're flying too far yow of course it consumes battery, then u fly back home for about 40 percent battery with 3,000 meters.. thats why battery was fail and damaged.. you abusing your drone
