Grizzle=Bars🤔..... I was always taught grizzle was based on the feather color and how it breaks up. To keep it simple grizzle let's say you have a white bird with bronze and blue in it. The bronze feather will be solid bronze as well the blue has a single feather. As too the feather havn bronze and blue in one.?????

Its a small world I know this gentleman, he flew a few blocks south of me I flew my birds off the Webster Ave warehouse in the. Bronx back in 1963. Back then there was Paradise lofts, The Millionaire Lofts, Tremont Lofts, there was a coop on each block. After the day every body would show up at Sam’s Pigeon shop on Crotona Ave to talk the sport. Left the Bx many years ago but still remember the good times flying. Thx for these memories

Reminds me of my youth in the late 70's early 80's. I too had Tiplets/Griselles and in the Bronx we were kings. Many tried to hook my birds but the thing with Tiplets is that when you have a sharp stock they'll smash right thru pick-up flocks. Love them checkup days too.. Bronx was known for dudes trying to snatch your birds. With so many coops that was the norm. We had hundreds and in one day they all perished on one of the hottest days my boy decided to lock them up for a piece of ass, and when I got back with feed all I saw was a mass murder of birds.

I’ve been born and raised in NYC and I didn’t realize how many people actually keep pigeons and take care of them in my city. I never really notice the pigeons because they’re always everywhere but it makes me feel good that there are good people paying them a little love.

I'm watching this with teary eyes. Had to let go ofvmy birds back in 1990 in Africa. Was forced to get rid of their pigeon boxes from the roof of our home after a long lecture. Whole issue was I was giving too much time to my pets and not school work. I was so heart broken and wept as I let loose the poor birds at night. They were homeless. They kept coming for about a month sleeping on the roof. I cried helplessly. Went to highschool in a couple of months. Later Went to the University. Became a preacher. Got married. But the pain of letting go of my doves never left. These are amazing creatures. I watched this wonderful video to relive those childhood memories. Now I'm a grown man with the ability to learn and do it right and big. I must do this again. Bird lovers have many things in common: lonesome, artistic, philosophical, spiritual ( you can add some more...)
