Honorable mention to Casey Kasem voici ng the Chevron ad during the first commercial break. I'd forgotten about his voice and radio ads apart from his own show!

Love the Muppets, but, the retro commercials were amazing! BTW, the Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson averaged about a 7.8 Nielsen rating in the early 70s (i.e., 7.8% of all households watched), which was almost twice that of Johnny's closest late night competitors. This show got a 6.1 rating.
