Is that in Oaklands park.Used to walk through past it on my way to moulsham high school in the 70sOnly ever visited it twice in my 12 years living in Chelmsford,and it’s not in the heart of Chelmsford.

This is so good. I have seen so many videos on this subject that have left me rather confused. This is good. I think I have a better understanding of councils. Thank you. ☺

1) Some litter is anti-authoritarian. People want to do something illegal that won't get them in too much trouble if caught. Other litter is politically motivated: 2) Too lazy to plan ahead and "everyone else does it"; 3) to intentionally annoy "tree-huggers"; 4) destitute attention-seeking "if you won't deal with me, you'll deal with my trash". And of course combinations of these.

Good job they have two lanes - the one with no vehicles could be a possible escape route onto Parkway when water levels start rising and Chelmer Waterside dwellers have to flee from future climate change flooding . . .

Littering is really bad here in the United States. I pick it up and throw it away in trash cans all the time here where I live

People are selfish and lazy,they don't give a damn about littering.The U.K. is drowning in litter we must all take responsibillity for our litter.Peoples mindset must change on littering.

In Japan, primary school students are the janitors. The responsibility for cleanliness is built into the curriculum. People only think they have more free will than they actually have. Learned behaviour is riddled with thoughtless customs and practices out of sheer sloth. The 25 year old downstairs tenant actually took her car the other day directly across the street to the grocery store because she had too much to carry in one trip. I hope she never has children. On a side note, I'm cleaning up an old squatter camp near town because no one else has and the squatter(s) were not required to clean their mess after being caught and evicted. I don't mind spoiling it for future archaeologists. :)

I was complaining too.But it doesnt help.So i became a cleaner.When someone asks me why i litterpick i would answer that i do it for my own pleasure,knowing that the place i cleaned must be done again in 14 days.I have a pension and time so i spend a lot of time outside.Litter pick has become a hobby. I cant change the world but I can make it a litle bit better.

Why do people litter? ...because they are stupid?

They do it because they derive pleasure out of doing it. It's the sad truth that no one acknowledge.

Nick Eveleigh: Chief Executive Officer at Chelmsford City Council. Rid yourselves of that overpaid, waste of space. CEO? Executive? He can hardly decide whether to take a crap in the WC, or do it in his trousers!

Your reopening after Covid-19 video is a scaremongering piece of nonsense. It comes as no surprise that comments are not permitted for that video. Referring to airliners, as an example for the amount of people that have died is appalling and cheap! She's speaking for Chelmsford, so give statistics for that "metropolis". Let's hear how many have actually died from coronavirus in Chelmsford. So far only 0.7% of the UK population have supposedly died from Covid-19. So open up your little "city".
@johnclark79574 жыл бұрын
Your pokey little town need not be a city. Take on city status, push up Council Tax and raise housing costs. Tut-tut! But it's still good to be a councillor. Getting well paid for very little work, whilst getting your own way.
