If you feel hopeless, fear not, because it is the dark that illuminates the faintest speck of light brightest. Such a gentle and positive movie about sensitive topics. It also inspires creating supportive environment. Sad to say that this is the only respectful and civilized portrayal of human interactions I've seen so far in my whole 30 decades of life, it breaks the mainstream norm that the opposite sex cannot work together to help each other without developing romantic and sexual feelings, which is cringey and creepy. Hopefully there will be more movies like this in future. Btw, can someone please link me to the soundtrack? Yoroshiku!

If anyone knows how to watch this from outside of Japan let us know. I'm still waiting to watch a lot of movies I've anticipated since I returned from Japan. A lot of websites with Japanese movies and dramas were shut down around 2017 when I returned from Japan and I haven't found any other ways to watch new movies or dramas since then. Depressing.

This movie was amazing. Watched it because Go Ayano plays in it and was not dissapointed. His acting is really good.Not only the cast, the story and how it begins and wraps up is just 🤌 I love how realistic the potrayal of the yakuzas are and how their presence affects those arround them. I also love how Kenji's death is ironically similar to his dad's. It loops around and it just shows how life works, it cycles. That aside, the way he leaves his legacy "accidentally" just hits the right spot for me, bittersweet. With Kimura's son respecting him like a father and took his younger appearance. While his daughter finding out Kenji was her father and wanting to know her father despite his reputation. He left them with something to bond over: a dead father 😂 (I meant A Family)

This movie is a good representation of why Communication is Important , I believe they could have worked it out if they just communicated about what they wanted in life from the start , love is overrated it doesn't last forever ( when I say love I mean the floating in air type of love not caring about each other).

I was lucky to watch this film at the Busan International Film Festival. It was a heartbreaking story about prejudice and adolescence, but the story was lovely and poignant, and the actors performed well. Although I watched it a few days ago, I still listen to Debussy's piano song and remember Sakura's skating.

Worst movie ever. Waste of time. Watch 15 minutes of it and you already know the whole story. Nothing really happened that much from 15 mins to the end. Everything just keeps on repeating. You will not know what happened to the child until the end.
