Hi Coyote 🙋. I finally got a scooter again. Do you still have yours? Yeah, I plan to ride it a bunch since I put so much into it. Original owner did not take care of the bike but I had no idea of that until after I bought it and had it looked at. The engine runs strong though so that's good.

@motogirlz101
@motogirlz101 2 жыл бұрын
I changed my handle bars once on a different bike. There are clamps you have to unscrew that are holding the bars in place. But you also have to undo the clutch assembly a little, not completely. It’s been a while since I did it but there is a video in my playlist. Let me find it.

@@motogirlz101 I got the carbs rebuilt and will fire up but won’t stay running. I think it may be a vacuum issue I don’t know the proper hose locations. Definitely a fuel issue because it revs out good on starting fluid.

Your bike is very nice. 3 wire turn signals are getting hard to find but worth it. Smart move on keeping the factory designed exhaust since changing it would actually be a major DOWNGRADE done to a very refined and balanced motorcycle. Likely it'll just produce loud noise and keeping the ultra useful center stand will be a challenge and it'll look asymmetric and ugly. Never understood the noise thing. The only thing I'd change would be replacing the front rubber brake line for a stainless steel one. Worth it. Cheers
@motogirlz101
@motogirlz101 2 жыл бұрын
I completely agree with you. My Nighthawk ran amazing and I believe it is because it is all stock. The Japanese know what they are doing when they designed the bikes. I had a Ninja 650 with a modified exhaust and it backfired all the time. The braided stainless steel brake line was next on my to-do list but I ended up selling my bike. Now I’m looking for my next ride 😀
@menom7
@menom7 Жыл бұрын
I agree! I stuck on a black (since my Nighthawk is all black) stainless-steel brake line and it immediately took all the "squish" out of the lever! Now,it brakes firm an hard! You won't be disappointed! : >)

I love scooters. If you peek at my channel that becomes very evident. lol I have owned everything from a 50cc 2-stroke 1980's Suzuki scooter to a 2014 Genuine Roughouse50 to a 1600 Harley Fat Bob. Sport bikes, dirt bikes, Dual Sports, ADV bikes (2), various cruisers, a non-Harley bagger, a 250cc, 400cc and 600cc scooter. They are all great, for different reasons. lol Thanks for the update vid gal! Hope yall are doing well!

Hi Coyote! I love scooters too. I had a couple Piaggio Fly 150's and they were the best. I'm looking at a Piaggio BV 300 but it's a distance away. There is also a Suzuki Burgman 650 but it has registration issues. Last owner did not switch the title to his name so not sure if I can. Anyhow, I love how easy scooters are to get out of the garage and the Fly took up less space and was so light and easy to move around. The storage on them is great for grocery shopping too. Thanks for checking out the new vid!

Hmm. My exhaust is super quiet so I assumed it was stock. Didn’t see any aftermarket markings. It is a dual exhaust also so I still think it’s the stock pipes. Just sold it though. It was a nice bike for the 3 years I had it. Enjoy yours! Let me know if you make a vid. I’ll check it out.
@Long-nd8bq

It was stock exhaust. You can even see the riveted baffles in it. I have the same bike. It's too quiet for my taste. Can't hear it over the wind at higher speeds. Makes me wonder when coasting if the engine is even on. I'm going to get rid of the dual exhaust and put a 4 into 1 system on it from Delkevic. Some people like the quiet bikes, others don't. It's a personal preference.

I just got the Radmission 1 and it's impossible to remove the battery. They want me to be She-Ra or something. They seriously need to add a mechanism for removal because as it is, I'm going to have to lay the bike on its side and use my legs to push it out. I hate that these bikes are designed with only men in mind. I can curl 25lb dumbells, but I am not strong enough to remove this battery.
