According to the comments, I had the worlds only well behaved beagle. I’d put his treat in the ground and have him sit for a moment. He was such a good boy.

Fabulous … these vids make me laugh so much. I have a beagle who behaves just like this despite being fed well, it’s the pleading eyes followed by the speed of the snatch as soon as food appears … brilliant!!

I used to boil chicken, with the broth I set out a trail for him to follow with boiled chicken at the end of the trail. He loved it. In summertime I froze the broth into ice cubes with little pieces of chicken in them, he loved them too.

My brother had a golden retriever in college & he brought him home to our parents for Thanksgiving. When my mom took the turkey out of the oven, she put it on the counter with tinfoil on top. We were all watching TV when my mom went back into the kitchen to finish cooking everything. About 20 minutes later she came back to us saying she’s lost her mind and the turkey. We just looked at her like indeed she did lose her mind. She took the remote and turned off the TV and said it again, and looked at us as if one of us was playing a joke on her. Fast forward and we all went into the kitchen and the turkey was nowhere to be found, then my brother realized that neither was the dog. He went into the next room and there was his dog, laying down next to a pile of tinfoil 😂At the time we weren’t laughing since he literally ate the entire turkey, bones and all, including plenty of tinfoil. We took him to the emergency vet and and thankfully there was no major damage - once a few days had passed (along with the turkey) we were able to laugh at the whole thing 😂

I laughed until I rolled on my bed. I live in France and was about to adopt a male beagle. The beagle profile website here says beagle has three vices: stubborn, hate to be left alone at home, gourmet lover ( hence their favourite place in a home is the kitchen). Are they true, beagle owners?
