Hey y'all know what without trucks the the world will stop this President Joe Biden know this even the ships would stop nothing would get built the medication would be supplied my question is why are they so hard on truck drivers they supply homes in medication and building so Joe Biden if you're such a good president get your ass in the truck you stay gone 4 weeks months from your your family between the warriors and the army truck drivers should be named at the top along with our US military rescue fire department and police officers that's my opinion but I'm jus 1 grain in the sand and if you read the Bible you understand

Me and dad are both still driving. I'm 47 hes 73. Me and my step brothers grew up in them trucks. In 85 me and Jerry when with dad from Fresno to Boston mass. In dads truck 3 guys named Jerry. Trainees today complain of 2 guys in a condo with bunk beds. We were 3 guys in a 36inch flattop sleeper. The 3rd seat? A milk crate with a pillow on it. FUNNIEST SUMMER EVER!!!

Ran a hot load with my old man from blind river Ontario to Mace Bay Newbrunswick in his ole KW a couple years back. Was a straight through load, stopped twice for fuel, and once to take the browns to the super bowl. We never really ran team together before but that was definitely an experience to be had, him driving longer than I’ve been alive and me just drying out from behind the ears 5 years in. (He used to take guys out of school and train them to do the job the way it should be done, so it wasn’t his first rodeo) anyways He ran most of the day and I ran most of the night. Load paid swell. he’s the only man I’d ever trust with my life rocking and rolling in the bunk, and he said the same. A buddy of ours (one of his old students) got mad when the old man said me, his son, was and always will be his greatest student. that was a funny phase between the 3 of us haha. Anyways between the two of us we hardly had 3hrs sleep in 18hrs even after reaching our destination not including our shifts prior to the teaming. We were 3hrs early, but I tell you what... we were tired, but sure have a great story to tell. 21 years old hauling fuel rods straight to a reactor. Not many “kids” can say that, let alone share the experience with their father. I’d definitely do it all over again, but that time is passed.

Love this song. Lost my dad in 2015. He was a truck driver and diesel mechanic. My early years he was the mechanic after us 3 kids got a little older he drove so he had more time with my brothers. I got married and was only around him on weekends and yes when I was a little younger 12-15 I went with him on short hauls and I did spend time with him and mama on vacations. He moved in with me and my daughter after my husband passed very unexpected and my mom had just past 5 months earlier. Best time I’ve ever had with my dad we had him another yr and 4 months after my husband. I sure do miss you daddy.

My dad didnt drive , but I have for 40 yrs so far . But my uncle did it for bout 42 yrs unfortunately he passed away in the bunk in a Florida rest area . I have been told that I have unknowingly followed in his foot steps , He was very respected by many drivers. I hope to someday have that same amount of respect he had .

All the comments here are beautiful! To all who have lost their dads already many condolences and much love. My dad didn't drive trucks but ran heavy equipment and drove sub's for the navy before. He has since passed.my hero always. Just as every trucker and farmer ever is¡ they will always be the backbone of the greatest country ever! Love them all! These trucking songs bring back wonderful memories!

Now Dads gone, I’m a late bloomer, I have my AZ, just waiting on Brother to teach me, shifting, speed, the real world stuff

Dad is a trucker now for 50 plus years. He asked me to not become a driver... 19.5 years later I wish I had listened. But that’s my job. I always wanted to do what he did. And thanks again to the old school drivers for paving the road for me and to try to fill those shoes. God bless
