Fairy absolutely grates this boss lol. Overall very clean strategy for this boss. Forceful Gesture is a smart move to use for bosses in general, and for this one that relies heavily on powerstacking, it helps with minimizing the agony with constant 4 power repeated dice. Beatdown is a great ranged die snuffer as well, so that's a plus. Lastly, I'm also a fan of the ample Chain-usage and the well thought-out economy management, I think. Well, Trigrams fixes any consistency issues for Binah regardless. Gg!

At first I just stealth cheesed the fight on Gebura's Floor because I thought it was going to be one of those absolutely impossible ones. Beat it. Then I beat him again with an actual team but the clear was very scuffed. And then there is this attempt where I used Tanya and that made the clear a lot cleaner. So three attempts in total I guess.

As someone who does not know much about this game, can someone explain exactly how this worked? The description is a bit "if you know, you know."

Basically I use the abnormality pages: Ash, Spores and Barrier of Thorns which all harm the attacker of whoever has those pages in different ways. With all of them together you actually deal a very respectable amount of damage. (I also use a passive on two units that allows them to inflict burn whenever they're hit) But to get those cards you need emotion levels which in this challenge can only be generated by: Retaliate - a passive from the Red Mist keypage - which gives you a free counter die each scene, allowing you to get emotion coins by clashing. Deflect - a passive from Yujin's keypage - allows you to respond with a regular block die to a one-sided attack once per scene. Basically just a weaker but cheaper retaliate for the purpose of emotion generation. The last way to get emotion coins, and what is needed to get the floors emotion level to 5, is allies dying. This gives 3 negative emotion coins. Unfortunately enemies dying to bleed or burn does not yield any emotion coins. By the end of the first act, I want the floor to be at emotion level 5 to get Barrier of Thorns because my backup meat bag has no way of generating emotion coins. The rest boils down to stacking as many defensive buffs and using passives like Toughness and Guts on Malkuth to keep her alive. The other guys are mainly just there to absorb damage and give emotion coins when they die.

@@vadandrumist1670 This is Tanya's passive "Guts" activating. Which heals you for 100 HP when you take a lethal hit. This only happens once for the entire reception. Also once I get Barrier of Thorns I have a 1 in 3 to recover hp equal to the same amount of damage (2-8) I reflected with Barrier of Thorns. Plus because of toughness (a passive from Dong-Hwan) I get 3 Protection and 3 Stagger Protection each scene at emotion level 5 which helps to reduce incoming damage especially when staggered. Tldr: A bunch of defensive nonsense activating at emotion level 5. And Malkuth can still very much die which is why I have to bring another librarian into the second act to divert damage.
