thats extra work...just use the wrap around method its easier

I usually do double knots, 2nd one on top the 1st one, just to 'lock' that knot to not loosen.

You got that right, even in normal places too. That's why I usually tie the 2nd one loosely, so that it's easier to untie it but still able to secure the 1st knot. But then again, I'm from the tropic region, so I don't have to worry about it getting frozen.
