Don't fall for it. You have a 1 in 10,000+ chance of being seen on Etsy. You can have the best idea in the world, and no one will see it. This guy is so busy from his "success" that he has time to script, shoot, edit, publish KZbin videos... and build websites and run subscription services? This guy knows that you make more money selling the shovels than mining the gold.

I do much with resin printing. However I believe it can be just as profitable as FDM. With Resin you all get the benefit of it actually saving you time when you fill the build plate.

How has the A1 been going for you? I have 2X P1P, and 6X P1S, and am not at a position to invest in more machines yet. However, I joined Makerworld to start sharing files to earn gift card credits to get an A1. I was curious if you saw it as a serious single color machine that has decent longevity for when we need to batch out single color objects only. (I hate the footprint of the separate AMS, a P1S w/ AMS combo is so much cleaner and less footprint).
@3dDesignBros
@3dDesignBros 2 күн бұрын
I agree with everything you said which is why I only the one A1. For my setup it doesn't make a lot of sense. If I needed a single color machine I would still probably go with the P1S just without the AMS.

Can i ask something?! Who is gonna order something 3d printed??? I mean, i 3d printed 3 years and i can;t immagine someone buying a product that costσ 3 times more than the product manufactured in a mold. Has no reason to do this. Except that, is gonna be also weaker than the product manufactured in the mold.
@3dDesignBros
@3dDesignBros 5 күн бұрын
Everything I sell that could be mass produced using a mold I'm able to sell cheaper. If I can't sell it for cheaper I try to ad personalization to it which of coarse can't be done in a mold. If I can't do either of those things then I just don't sell it.

Not a callout or anything along the lines of these, I started the process of doing the duplicate listings as stated in the video and i noticed they kept getting removed, I reached out to Etsy Support to see what's going on and this is their response to me stating about it "being allowed if we can fulfil the orders" "Ahh I see. That is currently not correct indeed despite putting different photos in it. Our systems may possibly detect that those were just duplicate and might subject for deactivation." "We currently do encourage to not duplicate posts to avoid problems with Etsy at the moment. It may only be allowed on the slightest margin, such as if you will create a physical and a digital version of the post."

I have been watching a lot of 3d printing start uo videos for beginners like myself. But one thing i noticed is that it’s rare for someone to talk about the considerations of where you can setup in your home. Not everyone has a spare room or a basement, here in the UK, to isolate the printer. Some say there fumes to consider, air temp and humidity, etc.

@@jmoney_online Fumes are only a problem if you are printing with certain materials. I recommend doing some research on it but pla and petg are safe to print without an enclosure. If you live in a humid environment getting a filament dryer is well worth it. Leaving filament in humidity for long periods will affect your print quality.

I loved this video! Just a quick question, is it best to put a limit on how many of each item you have in stock on Etsy or is it best to print as they’re ordered. Do you say the items are made to order and may take a day or 2 before shipping? Thank you 🙌🏻
@3dDesignBros
@3dDesignBros 23 күн бұрын
I lean towards putting no limit on the amount in stock. However if you do that you need to make sure that you have the capacity to made how every many you end up selling. I always want the sale so if I ever get so many orders that I think I can't handle them all then I just up my processing time. If the orders keep coming though I would then looking to add more printers and lower my processing time back down.

I sell on both and my own website.

How do you organize your files? Do you keep all the STLs on each printer? Or keep them on a computer and send them over when you sell something? Or something completely different?
@3dDesignBros
@3dDesignBros Ай бұрын
I keep them on a computer in a google drive file so it syncs between my office computer and my shop computer. Then I just send them to the printer when I get an order. All my farm printers are Bambu printers so I actually keep the files as .3mf files not STL. This allows me to save the settings and then when I open the file its ready to be printed without having to do anything.

Even though this video seems to be more about lighting than about creating photos for your shop. Why not telling a story about how you actually put a new product out there? One video could be about the design, one about the printing, the next about the photos and the last about the SEO and description. Just one thought of a fan. And as I'm at it, please consider updating 3D Print Force to support euros. 😉

For those wondering about creating models from text in Fusion, the process works much smoother if you create your text in a vector based program such as Illustrator or Affinity Designer. Once you're happy with your text you'll need to use the 'Create Outlines' function then save your file as an SVG. Import that into Fusion and your text will extrude without issue. Trying to extrude fonts directly with Fusion's text tool is a nightmare. It doesn't play nice with all fonts.
@3dDesignBros

Let's suppose you have an injection machine and can make 50,000 items a month. Which product would you choose? How would you do it? (forget about the machine and mold costs). Part size limited to 80x80mm - 20grams
@3dDesignBros
@3dDesignBros Ай бұрын
I wouldn't. The competitive advantage of 3d printing is that I don't have to keep inventory. The only way I would look at injection modeling is if I cam up with a product so unique, it needed pattens, and that was the only item I was planing on selling.
