West Delray Regional Park is now home to the top Disc Golf Course in Palm Beach County and top 3 in all of South FL (Many would vote it #1). It was installed about a year after this video came out. The course was installed and is still maintained by the Non Profit Palm Beach Disc Golf Club. In addition to the top level competition course near the back of the park there is a beginner friendly short course at the front of the park for players new to the sport looking to try it out.

Unless I blinked, not a second on accessible features for people with disabilities. One in four people have a disability. An 8+ minute video produced by a County agency MUST highlight accessible trails, watersports and more.

I have mixed feelings about this. My great great grandfather served as a Private in the Florida Mounted Militia during the second Seminole Indian War and was just following orders. I would imagine it was all about the instinctive nature of self preservation, to kill or be killed and doing everything humanly possible to stay alive battling not only the Seminoles, but the unforgiving and harsh environment. After it was all over, he decided to settle in Florida, got married, and raised a large family. I often think if he had been killed, I would not be typing this. My GG grandfather, Pvt. Cullen Rowell, Florida Mounted Militia.

Never, ever, ever, ever let these sour “progressive” types try to make you feel guilty for the triumphs, tragedies, trials, and everything in between of our people. God bless your ancestor. He was a hero and his name shall be known throughout the ages for giving up the ultimate sacrifice for his motherland. ✝️🙏

While this video was produced for a brief overview of the course as part of our virtual programming, we’ll take your suggestion into consideration for our future virtual experience videos.
