From the moment of buying that STANLEY travel French Press I've loved ❤ it! It is just simply that easy to use and makes great Coffee. It also makes a great thermos bottle for other Hot or Cold drinks too. It's THE ONE that pretty much stays in my car or with me during outdoorsy activities. Good 👍 LOVE ❤ for all my STANLEY camping gear sets.

Is it complicated to clean?
@cheongkelvin7 ай бұрын
It is really easy to clean. Just remove and rinse the plastic plunger with water, then clean the bottle with a normal bottle brush. In face, the plunger mesh is removal with just a twist for easy cleaning.

can you write the details on how much coffee exactly do you use - is it a single or double pavoni basket? Also which grind settings do you use and how much is the temp of the group head? Still quite new to the game but I have a Europiccolla and a Sage grinder - trying different variations of grind and temperature...
@cheongkelvin Жыл бұрын
I am using a double basket (i guess this is a double). 18gm powder, using the finest grind setting at about 6 or 5 on the Breville. I don't measure the group head temperature.

Hi, you said grind setting 5 or 6 but in the video you can see it’s 11. Which one is it? Or do you adjust it to the beans?
@cheongkelvin Жыл бұрын
@jlswlf7408 yes, I adjust it to my beans and the beans age. The "older" my beans, the finer I need to grind them. And of cos, it also depends on the taste u want. But I find this Breville is not the best grinder for espresso, it is more of a all purpose machine.
Hey there im wondering how does your puck look after you pull the shot? I have this exact setup(i just bought the grinder) and the puck looks incredibly rough when i take it out of the pavoni. With my older, cheap grinder, it was very smooth. I had the grind setting at 11 and have tried multiple different ones all the way down to 4. Still the same thing.

Hi, apologies for this late reply. My puck looks perfect after every shot as I am using a puck shower screen. Grinder settings of 12 to 8 works for me, but it really depends on your beans and you will need to calibrate as your beans ages, maybe by 1 or 2 clicks more. I usually gun for 30 secs pulls, but I will adjust grind sizes for different taste profiles, depending on my preference of the day. Your beans and taste determines your grind settings.

@@cheongkelvin Thanks! I am down to 4 now but maybe ill try going up to 8 and see what happens. Its hard for me to distinguish when the coffee tastes sour or bitter.

@@steakdave666 Maybe you can get a puck screen to try, they are quite value for money.
