to my buddy jimmy colesemo. we listened to and sang this on his walkman at the back of math class, in a portable, in 1988. He killed himself that year over a girl and baby that he couldn't see. rip brother.

When most only wanted to hear about a heart of glass that became a pain in the arse and it is not much different today, people sing about superficial twaddle and what I want, feelings, ego and such.

This song is soooo relevant today. I love that John wrote it about the "complacent" hippies of the late 60's - 70's. "Walking up and down the street. Doing nothing but complaining about everything." LOL!!

I listen to a lot of music. This is the song i love/hate the most. Love: Because the lyrics are on point. Almost too much on point. And the music is awesome. Hate: Because not much has changed since, and this song is from 1992. Dadgummit, it's 2021!!! So nothing but respect to SOIA for writing such a song at an early stage of their career, and nothing but disrespect for (most) political "leaders" who've screwed it up ever since.

The best band in NYC. I love Af,cro mags all of them. But,in Boston these guys really spoke to me.Boston is tiny compared to nyc,l.A, Chicago.SOIA spoke our voice. If you lived in Boston Your in downtown in 20 minutes. Unlike the huge towns. If your on the the train or bus from the big city.Takes a while.I loved that aspect of being close.Any one want to go to a gig tonight?Let's Go!😄

Besides being one the best HC songs ever written, and being written 28 years ago, the relevance of this somewhat peaks during this late spring 2020.
