Is this puzzle being mass produced I can't find it any where
@BobCat-j4bКүн бұрын
Carl Hoff is an engineering genius. I solved the real 5x5x5 and eventually I 'll gather the courage for the real 6x6x6 .😊

Hey, can You tell me what's the difference between this and icosaix? They seem the same for me
@ZeraKat2 күн бұрын
This puzzle is the icosahedron equivalent of the Starminx (which is a face turning dodecahedron). This puzzle turns on the corners while an Icosaix turns on the faces. Also the turns on this puzzle are much deeper than an icosaix. Hopefully this helps!

what are a list of "base puzzles" such as the FTO that one should learn how to solve to begin to utilize their strategies in other new puzzles?
@SuperAntoniovivaldi5 күн бұрын
Hmm, good question! I think all of the base platonic solids, like the 3x3, megaminx, FTO, pyraminx, and an icosahedron, like Eitan's star is a good start. Then an edge turner like the helicopter or curvy copter to introduce jumbling and orbits. From there, a representative of each kind of cuboid; the 3x4x5 (Brick cuboid), 3x3x4 (Domino cuboid), 3x5x5 (Shapeshifter cuboid) and 3x5x7 (ultimate shapeshifter cuboid). Then a common shape mod like the mastermorphix or ghost cube as perspective benders.

I know this isn't related to the puzzle in the video, but I didn't know where else to turn to. I bought a witeden 3x3x7 THINKING it was fully functional, but i was wrong. the yellow corner and edge pieces stick out whenever i flip them. it LOOKED like a normal 3x3x7. I am having trouble solving it and i can't find a tutorial on YT. PLEASE Tell me you have one on your channel, and if so could you link it to me? thanks in advance!

I agree, it's very tricky. Just remember it has similar strategies as an edge turning cube like the helicopter cube.

Thanks! I didn't pair the edges first and ended with a weird 3-cycle that I was finally able to fix by using that alg twice.

That feels awesome when you buy a new rubik and search for tutorial and see one of your favorite KZbinrs have an excellent tutorial about that. like always i watch and learn a lot. this Rubik's is almost my 300 rubik in my collection. I would be honored if you could guide me a little about continuing my way and learning more Rubiks, because I want to continue this way more professionally, so your advice can help me a lot. (Of course, I am not interested in speed cubing and ) Unfortunately, I could not find your Instagram account.

Using a regular unbandaged 4x4x4 tried to do an AI solve after a LBL of the first two layers. Using the (finger 3 cycle method) ended up with an unsolvable 2 swap. Resorted back to basic method to discover cube was in parity. How is the best way to fix this doing an AI solve using the (finger 3 cycle method, "not reduction")? Is this the same as a corner equivalence issue?

Hi, Antonio, cheers from Brazil! I am a graphic designer and illustrator, but as a hobby I am a puzzle collector (sorry for my bad English). In the last weeks, I designed some interesting sticker mods for 3x3x3 standard cubes. I plan to release them for free as PDF and as CDR and JPG files, for anyone to print, but first it would be nice to have a feed back from someone well respected in the cubing world - someone like you, before I release to the public. And I really believe that you will appreciate my stickermods, so if you don't mind, please make contact by answering this message. I want to send you the files for you to print and aply on a cube. They look dificult at firs look, but they can be solved by logic and observation - just the type of approach you use on your solves. Best wishes, and I hope I get your attention.

Hello, I can't finish the cube. I have two adjacent corners left to swap. I don't understand where the problem comes from. I must have missed something in the tutorial...I should normally have a cycle of 3 left, right?
@inbracedefeatАй бұрын
I know this is an old video but if you don't want to learn the brick parity algo just for these puzzles, you can actually just use the floppy parity twice, which uses only parity algs from the normal 4x4. It is a lot slower, but much more simple.

Have you given up on making an updated collection video?
@RonaiHenrikАй бұрын
I don't even know when I subbed to you :) probably around 2016? I sort of am in a cubing hiatus since 2022. I'm glad you're still active and seemingly doing good! I would love to see an update on your collection, just to maybe give me some more inspiration to get back into cubing. I am finishing my university thesis (psychology)and it revolved around cubing, I taught 15 people how to solve the cube to see if it improves spatial abilities (pretest-posttest). Obviously, this got me interested in cubing again and instead of focusing on writing the thesis I'm breaking my megaminx pr's and watching your videos :) Btw, where/how do you buy your twisty puzzles? I'm looking to buy some more. Cuboids and 4*4 5*5 ghost cube.

This is still the best tutorial I've found to help me through my 3x3x5. The guy who actually has the same puzzle doesn't actually teach, and this gives me the strategy I need. Just more cubes added on.
@osobbx37412 ай бұрын
Mr. Vivaldi, as ALWAYS you come in so clutch. There's no greater twisty puzzle teacher on the internet I swear. You've taught me how to solve an incredible amount of cubes over the years, I think I discovered you around d 2010 2011 you deserve much more recognition from the cubing community imo. Literally though, I'd look to see if you had a tutorial first before buying alot of cubes lol I figured hey if he's got a tutorial I'm sure I'll figure it out 😂 Took a bit of a hiatus from cubing for a few years but getting back into it now. Ive owned a skewb forever but never really took the time to learn it. You got me solving this without assistance after one watch! Your approach to solving is exactly what the people need sir. Thank you again for all your years of service 🫡

Hi, I hope you check my comment however the video itself is 7 years old. So my problem is I succeeded to move every corner in place, no parity, but two big corners, three-sided ones, are turned in place. One is clockwise, other is opposite. I tried to move one around and put in place just the right orientation but at the and I have two turned corners again. Do you have any idea? Thanks in advance.
2 ай бұрын
Hi, It seems I found an algo, it works in both cases (the unoriented pieces are next to each other or opposit), so I went on. The trick in nuthshel is: move one arount the four-colour-corner, make the threecycle, then move back and make again.
