Shock fluid weight? Or did you go with different springs?

+Tony Flick I have a tapered piston set that I used from Hyper 8 days (big bore) tho when I ran the stock 6 x 1.5 pistons I used 40 front and rear or 45 team associated oil. I also noticed a fair few guys moving the batt tray to get a better balance to suit there driving and jumps etc, I believe the truggy chassis has variable mounting holes so if you look that up you'll see what I mean. Also ive just started another tuning option called over driving :) which gives the front diff more pull by reducing the crown gear tooth count thus making it pull a little harder !! will let you know how she goes.

Time, the reason I came here to begin with, is we don't see many people rock their SS on a track so wanted to talk set up with you. One area I'm working on in the 7 is to either obtain more, or MOVE the flex on the chassis. I have a variety of stiffners, and the stock as well as the L chassis. The longer chassis did provide some additional roll....curious of your thoughts on chassis roll based on your current setup here.

+Matthew McConnell Well c'mon and show us how you get down on the track with an SS. And don't turn this in to is SS any good or not, keep it focused. Hyper 7 vs Hyper SS. I'll show you my Hyper 7, show you the SS, and walk through my entire reasoning as to why I would recommend the Hyper 7. So next time come back with something better than 'Get your shit straight' because I'm about to give you some real, straight shit. Don't worry. I'll lay it all out and await your response. Seems to me the best, most logical way to answer the question at hand, doesn't it? Let's SHOW.

Chill out guys.. I know everyone loves their own cars but please dont take my words that seriously.. Everyone has their own personal preferences and im sure no one knows everything about what they havent own.. In this case Nitro is saying that his Hyper 7 is better and i may agree with that cuz i never owned a hyper 7 so i dont know how well it performs on the track... Apologize for saying that i'd prefer the Hyper SS cuz its better somehow, which it may or may not, depending on the driving style of the driver and many other categories such as setups and upgraded parts etc. Please relax and have fun with each of your own properties. Thank you for understanding!

I';m chill. I'm going to elaborate for him. Guys need to learn it's not cordial to tell someone their opinion is "BS" and they need to get their "shit straight". I agree, let's keep it RC. And FWIW, this is not 'backing up my vehicle' (as noted, I race Mugen). What's important here, is guys like this who attempt to slap others down as such stay engaged and hopefully learn from it and make a change in their behavior. I know many who have after acting silly like this. This video of mine will get a LOT of views, I assure you.,...and if you've never seen any of my videos then urge you to tune in as you'll see I talk about one thing and one thing only: facts. I have an SS and as noted am going to literally SHOW why I feel as I do (SS is a beautiful design on paper for a 'next gen' Hyper 7)...however the parts are substandard and in my opinion from a durability standpoint....there is little comparison IMO. It is what it is. Although I'm a newbie, I'm fairly tuned in to the Hyper X series and feel it's important folks understand the precise differences. My Hyper 7 is made up of parts from Pro, PBS, TQ Sport, and PCR Pro. in addition I do have a few SS parts incorporated (I've run the toe blocks/bushings to set my anti-squat). I run c-hub and PBS on mine, and am going to implement the King-pin suspension....just to try it out but I'm concerned once again with the ability for the parts to hold up. I respect anyone's opinion on preferring the SS as long as they can talk to it. Stating the gear ratio is comical, I run Spider/Standard/Torsen in mine with a wide breadth of gear ratios. Where is the upgrade? As noted, in these situations it's best to simply put it on the table and dialogue. This is what I want to do. My son races TLR, so I am quite familiar with king-pin/drag link assemblies, (each type have their pros and cons). So basically I'm talking facts here and he can call it "BS" instruct me to learn my stuff, in the end let's let those truly interested make a judgement based on what they see...not the nonsense they read by internet experts. I simply ask he watch the video and answer questions being posed as the intent is to educate viewers on the differences. As noted, I have no issues with the SS at all. I have no vested interest between the two. I simply talk in facts, which are based on hands-on experience. Can't get more 'straight' than that. Ha ha

+Nitro RCNerds Thank you very much for your compliment and i appreciate your help to the setup :D I haven't been playing with my RC's since like a year now due my economical issues.. and my dad was really having a hard time on the track because he have lung issues due to his past work.. This video was recorded by my dad since i was about 13 (im turning 16 in a few months), the engine I was running with the car was the stock .21 engine which performs great after tons of break-in's (by my uncle). I don't really know much about rebuilding the engine neither tuning it because my uncle was the one doing everything to the engine xD In the end of the video it was my uncle starting the engine, it just sounds great!! I hope i will get back playing with my RC's and uploading more videos to my channel. Btw i saw your Ofna Hyper 7.... omg.. i have nothing to say XD Very nice race buggy you have there it just looks way more expensive than my nearly stock SS XD I haveaTeam C T8 V2 and it has nothing in comparison with the Hyper SS.. it is much lighter, faster, and many more etc.. I dont remember what engine i hv on it but it performs MUCH better than my SS. i wish i had someone filmed me having some good times with my T8.. LOVE your vids and keep up the good works! ;)

Good deal. Well, hopefully this little activity on your video gives you needed consideration to fire the ol buggy up again. Regardless of age, it can be therapeutic - this I know. My son is your age so I am a fan of father/son teams sincerely hope your dad gets a chance to get out and enjoy ti again soon (even if just to watch you). I'll make a note to come back and let you know when I post up the first vid in this new series "How to Bring the Beast out in your Hyper 7". I feel I've had good success with it, and am happy to show exactly what I've done/will do, and will definitely cover how it can be implemented with an SS, as I truly root for SS guys too.

I would prefer the Hyper SS
@mattsfat7310 жыл бұрын
The SS has Hyper 7st truggy diffs and ratios 43/11t, Hyper 9 steering and many common Hyper 7,8,9 parts. I love the st ratio in my SSE (43/11t diffs F+R, 19t motor pinion) it seems to have a lot more bottom end punch to it compared to my Hyper 8.5 electric which has the 43/13t diff gear set and 14t motor pinion (they are NOT compatible by the way). All in all I LOVE THE BLOODY THING !! had to lower the batt tray and replace the batt tray screws with m3.5 x 25 self tappers, 40w front and rear, and definitely get the CNC st truggy lower arm braces and the CNC SS shock towers. I gave mine all the CNC hop ups ... AWSOME !! The Hyper 7 was a legend, meet the new one .. HYPER SS, bash it, race it :)

Time Koobthai Why is that?
@timekoobthai80689 жыл бұрын
Nitro RCNerds i never own a Hyper 7 and i believe that the Hyper SS is like an updated version of the Hyper 7 because it is released about a year after the Hyper 7 was released, apologize for not knowing much about the difference between both car.
@NitroRCNerds9 жыл бұрын
It's kind of an updated version but with lesser quality.
