Yeah, most bikes are 5-8% high from the factory. And on older bikes that don't have ABS, when you change sprockets for better acceleration, it can make the speedo read like 18-20% high... So many 600 riders don't get this, and talk all day long about how their 600 does 170+ on the highway.. meanwhile, its like 154mph actual, at best... Even modern bikes are off from the factory. my 2022 Yamaha R1 read 6% high. So 185 on the dash was really only 173mph... Older bikes were often WAY off...

I’m one of the 600 riders you’re talking about 😂. GPS speed will humble you.
@SquireSCA2 ай бұрын
@@BigDreamsLilBike Don't feel bad, pretty much every 600 rider is guilty of this. The difference is when you explain how this all works, some of them are like you and they get it... others just dig in their heels and insist that their 600 with a slipon and power commander is faster than the fully built Isle of Man TT race 600's because "they know what they know". That knowledge typically comes with a cheap Bilt brand helmet from Cycle Gear, jeans and tshirt, a suction cup mohawk on their helmet for attention, and chicken strips that are more like chicken breasts on their tires because they have never seen a real turn. But they experts, they will insist. haha

This had everything to do with bad rider inputs and nothing to do with the fact that the tires were cold and new. You took a poor lean angle for the turn. Then to correct midway you changed the angle upsetting the chassis and removing weight off the rear instead of applying throttle slowly to open the angle. Then proceeded to whack the throttle open instead of smoothly rolling on. Not to mention you whacked it, while still at angle on cold tires, and on asphalt. Yep..... 100% the tires fault and no learning to be done here.

@@yamahar6vlogs99 I've ridden in colder weather than you have buddy, difference being I'm not braindead and wack on the throttle mid turn. Come back to me when you've ridden in -20 C, guarantee you pack your precious little straight line r6 for the winter the instant it hits september. Also if he wasn't anywhere near the car why did he correct and increase his radius mid intersection, he practically stood the entire bike back up. Not even gonna comment on your understanding of controlling a slide.
