Hi! What were your symptoms of your seizures? I have a constant numbness on the entire right side of my body. And wondering if I’m having constant seizures. Any thoughts?

Do you implement any natural medications or nutritional practices? My son has CCM and we are still hoping for healing of seizures and speech delays and apraxia after having one removed.

Hi Willow, thank you for reaching out! Without knowing specific details regarding your son, I can't make any recommendations. However, I will say that I had success with seizure remission when I followed a therapeutic ketogenic diet. I used Dr. Terry Wahl's book, called "The Wahl's Protocol". She offers three protocols in her book, and I followed the strictest one and monitored my urine ketones daily. It took some experimentation to find out how many grams of carbohydrates that I could eat on a daily basis and still remain in ketosis. Regarding nutrition, eliminating processed foods and sugars, as well as working to restore gut health is also important here. There is a lot that can be done with nutrition to support the health and healing of the brain. In terms of natural medications - - I did (and still do) use specific supplements to support brain healing. A few of these include a b-complex, high quality fish oils, Vitamin D3, Vitamin C, and N-Acetyl Cysteine. I would encourage you to check with your son's doctor before giving these to him. Unfortunately, I do not have any suggestions regarding the apraxia and speech delays. I hope this helps a little, and I wish you and your son the best on this journey!
