I don’t think you would have driven from Duluth to Wisconsin Rapids (it’s about 3.5 hours from Duluth) for dinner and back to Duluth in a night. Anchor Bar is across the bridge in Superior.

Unfortunate that you missed a ton of technical stuff in Cuyuna Lakes. Drawpoint, Sinter, Portal, Bison Run and Cruser’s Kettle are all great. Galloping Goose is basically a connector trail for all the more interesting stuff in Mahnomen South trail system. North Mahnomen, Sagamore Unit and Yawkey Unit have much more interesting segments.

Good video of Duluth. I feel you didn’t give Cuyuna it’s due though. I’ve ridden there for a few years and there is enough trail there it would take days to ride it all. Some really good newer advanced trails. Also just an FYI the Anchor Bar is in Superior, WI. Wisconsin Rapids is hours away from Duluth.
@theflock4915

Oops! Not sure how that happened with Anchor Bay. You probably right about Cuyuna. We had rode quite a bit at Tioga and didn’t give it enough time and effort. Thanks!!!

thank you so much for this video. i'm from florida, meeting up with my in laws in pigeon forge in june and was wondering some trails to hit up in dupont. we will be driving from florida but will be staying 2-3 nights in brevard before heading to pigeon forge. which would you recommend for a family friendly bike trail? last question. which is an easier way/climb to get to the start of ridgeline trail? lake imaging parking lot or guion farm parking lot? thanks so much!
@theflock4915
@theflock4915 Жыл бұрын
You can get to the start of Ridgeline easiest from Guion Farm but you will be at the bottom once you ride the trail. You can have another car down there to shuttle to the top or have to climb back to Guion. As for the best family friendly trail, what level are you guys at? We went to Bent Creek last year and my family LOVED it but you have some climbing to do. Also, the BEST trails to hit closest to Pigeon Forge is definitely the Urban Wilderness in Knoxville, TN. Hit me up with any more questions!!

I'll never forget the first time I tried DM, spent about a half hour on that first rock roll until I worked up the courage to try it. Nailed it and then walked away from the BIG roll. Came back the next weekend and slayed it top to bottom. Like all MTB gopro videos, it suffers from serious go-pro effect. Believe it or not, the 2nd BIG roll is actually a lot easier than the first one. Its a proper enduro trail, right up there with a lot of the stuff I rode out in Park City last year.
