Hi, I just went for the salvage inspection and one of the parts I used was from eBay. The inspector that reviewed the receipts told me to email them the VIN of the car that the part came off of. The eBay seller is not responding to me. What can I do in my case?

Got a question, hope anyone can make clear: Can a NYS emission's test licensed shop perform the test on an unregistered (salvage) car? Of course the plan is to send the documentation to DMV and schedule the salvage examination. I'm having extreme difficulty getting a shop to administer the emission test, likely due to misinformation.

Hello my friend! I have a Mercedes E 220 w210 also and I ordered some 6,5” JBL speakers for the front doors speakers but I saw that you installed some speakers of that size in the back of the car. Do you think that they can fit in the door speakers or they probably will be to big even with some adaptations?

For the non bose cars they should fit. 6.5 is the size for the front doors.

I live in Jakarta, Indonesia has a problem with SBC units having to be replaced because the pressure is only up to 70. My Mercedez is W211, E240, Avantgarde. However, Mercedez Jakarta only provides a warranty for the replacement of the short timing cable. Can anyone share an email address of Mercedez Germany to ask about this?

I’ve always loved this car, all the dope boys in NYC had these cars back in the day. I just saw a nice one on Marketplace at a good price and I’m soooo tempted but the ABC scares me. I just replaced the entire suspension on my LS460 FSport and that was not for the week or timid cause it was NOT cheap!

When you own a real AMG, it’s a little infuriating to see copy cats that aren’t the real thing. My advice is sell your car and buy an E55. They’re cheap and for under $15k you do a few mods and have 700hp and all the AMG parts!

I can understand the frustration. I had this car and a CL55AMG in the same time. I never wanted the E class to be an AMG and would never have badged it as such, but I drive it every day and I wanted it to look good. It was great on gas and reliable, so I put some effort in making it look better.
