I was there for both shows that night. The weather was miserable. His plane was two hours late landing at Logan and it was terrible driving from Boston to Clark. The 8:00 PM show didn't start until midnight. They set up so quickly that they didn't get the sound system adjusted correctly and Hendrix's microphone didn't work. So you couldn't hear him sing - on Foxy Lady, when the verse led up to him stepping to the microphone and singing "Foxy Lady", there was just silence. It was brutal! They got it fixed for the second show which started around 2:00 AM. That show was perfect and I think he played a little extra to make up for the first show. We got out of Atwood Hall about 3:30 AM. Unbelievable show!!

This is so awesome to find. I’m a guitarist and HUGE Jimi fan... and was born less than 40 miles away in Garner, MA on this very day. Wish there was more footage. Jimi looks and sounds pretty wild this night. The music must’ve been blowin’ in the wind towards Garner... because I caught a serious jones for the Stratocaster + Fuzz combo -I’m still dealing with today!! ;)

I was in a motorcycle club when this concert took place. I convinced the boys to attend this show with me. When we got there most of the seats were taken, so we marched down to the front and sat on the floor, just beneath the stage. No one challenged us. Each time Hendrix knocked over his mike stand I handed it back up to the stage. This footage comes perilously close to showing me. I remember the two cameras set up by the BBC and often wondered what happened to that footage. I'm a musician, and the other thing I recall was being totally blown away by The Soft Machine. They were a trio at that point and were nothing short of incredible. What a night.

Clark U is in a college town with a few other major schools - almost every act played there, from the Grateful Dead to Frank Zappa and the Mothers, to Janis. At the Worcester Memorial Auditorium, groups like Spirit, Canned Heat, Bob Dylan and Country Joe and the Fish, who got busted for obscenity after leading the Fish cheer - among so many more. The Rolling Stones played Worcester twice. It was a great place to be in the 60's!

I watched this show when I was fourteen and it changed my life. My previous two years as a teenager involved the necessity to like reggae music as a 'skinhead' in SE London. After this my hair grew down to my shoulders overnight and I've been a hippy ever since. Thanks Jimi - thanks Lulu.

The great Jimi Hendrix Experience. To have seen this power trio live was one of the greatest events of my life, and on more than one occasion too. Seen here the pure power and depth of their music, and their superb and wonderful musical skill. Who could have thought to make a guitar sing out the words of Sunshine of Your Love? Jimi Hendrix, that's who! I miss these guys. Enjoy. This is the real McCoy. No doubt, beyond genius.
