Very nice. I attended 4th and 5th grade in a school called Malabon in Eugene Oregon in in 1964, 1965. Could it be the same place? I remember at that time we would carry our lunches from the lunch room back to our class room to eat. The auditorium served also as the gymnasium. Wow, so long ago. I wonder if it is the same place?
@IsaacStoneWolf4 жыл бұрын
Indeed! I went to malabon from Kindergarten to 5th, but they built a new school yet kept the old gym after my third grade year. This year (2020) I'm going into highschool, so malabon is a good part of my history, and I remember some of the teachers in the video

@@IsaacStoneWolf Good to hear from you. In my years, 1964 to 1966 there was no dedicated gym. That must have been added later. The school was then located in a lot of farming land, with commercial development coming in close by. An interesting thing to me today is I am retired and living in "Malabon city" Metro Manila, Philippines. What a coincidence! Good luck in high school. Thanks.

@@dalecs47 No problem! This channel usually has videos on my school district so I know a handful of the people from the more recent malabon videos, including the principal in this video and the music teacher

@@IsaacStoneWolf Thanks. It is a new building. I did not know that. But when I was viewing the video I was trying to recognize places from my past time there and could not. Now I know. K through 12 I attended nine different schools. But Malabon remains my favorite. We lived very close to the gravel pit lake, near the school. I see on the maps it is still there, surrounded by a trailer park. Wow. I remember the teachers were always nice to me there. I had special needs, being almost blind. From the video I see they continue a tradition of diversity and caring. Thanks.

Don't you love those helpful pets of ours? My most vocal cat likes to interrupt my Chopin but prefers Beethoven. The other helps supervise the keys. Peg Kehret's Cages was a recent hit with our 11 year old, and we'll be reading her animal shelter book soon. Right now we're reading Small Steps and my daughter has been in tears, even though Kehret wastes no tears on herself. Non-dramatic and direct writing. Thank you so much Mrs Kehret for inspiring our girl!
