I definitely would for more play time - less wear and tear (cycles) using two The one is enough along side the alternator power to supply the system but with batteries and electrical - enough is never enough

Thanks for the video. I just ordered this amp and have it scheduled to be installed next week. I replaced the stock speakers (6 1/2" front, 5 1/4" rear with paper cones) with Kicker CS series two-way speakers of the same size. That, in itself was a huge improvement in my 2024 Kia Niro hybrid. But the rear speakers only get to about 1/4 of the volume of the front ones. The front ones sound crisp and clear, but lack the punch that they could have. I can hear some clear bass through them, but only in songs that have a lot of bass in them. Other music sounds good, but with a weak low end. It looks like I have chosen well with this amp.

So the Titan8 continually powers the audio separate from the alternator and main battery? Alternator charging the Titan8. So daily driving, what does that look like in terms playing quite loud, say 2000w total rms subs, discharging and charging.

@michaelheath3725 as a collective- anything connected to the alternator or electrical system will divide the load and charge The Titan 8s are nice for their small form factor and power That and having it as a second battery will help reduce strain on alternator for sudden voltage drops and felid % Meaning a happier system For a 2000 watt system You’re more than golden

The kac 9105 d came up for auction for like 65 bux the auction does not test the amps so that's a gamble it's the kac 9105d I wish it was the 9106d the later model is way over built the 9105 looks like a complete empty circuit board when u take off the bottom cover there's hardly any parts u should google the gut shot it's shocking

I'm not sure why Kicker wasn't using forced air before. I didn't understand why they stopped using a cented pole piece. But, I haven't really been paying attention since after they vame out with the original X.

Not too sure myself, but I know kicker has their reasons Usually, it comes down to the goals of the driver, and if you can have the same amount of performance without adding more variables, why Add unnecessary things? With how everyone wants more power, I feel like Kicker is adding a second layer of protection to make the subwoofers last longer All in all kicker don’t need much power to get loud

Pretty sure you can do either way if you want to utilize both terminals on a 2 sub box, I have this amp wired down to 1 ohm and I have each sub wired separately.

If I use all my speaker terminals on the amp is the amp bridging them internally either way ?or is each (+)(-) terminal only pushing out 900 on each side

You can’t bridge this amp - tho you can connect with both terminals as you would with one for easier wiring configurations You wouldn’t want it to be bridged 😅

I look at caps as being a band aid of the late 90's and early 2000's due to amp inefficiency. Fast forward today and amp efficiency due to modern transistors has really come a long way since 2001. It's likely class D amp efficiency has improved by about 25%-30% and therefore amp sizes have also been reduced in probably larger percentages as a result of that extra efficiency. A 1000 watt class D amplifier today can easily be driven with almost any stock vehicle's electrical system without any worry of drastic current draws with dimming light voltage drops as opposed to having a surfboard amp from 20 years ago you wouldnt even think about squeezing under a seat.

Absolutely and with today’s battery chemistries being the way, they are “lithium“ ECT capacitors really don’t have the same role as they once did
