I have one it sounds like it not revving that high but its correct and works well starts easy. Can you get a bush cutting blade for these ? I may try a leaner mix next to see how that runs.

Elle n'est pas faite pour ca , ton moteur va surchauffer, surtout avec 1 seul segment ca va pas tenir longtemps, la longueur du fil de coupe 10/15 cm maximum au dela le moteur ne prend pas son regime maxi et a trop de charge

The oil spout location on newer honda motors is positioned much lower, its almost impossible to drain without spilling it all over the place. SO frustrating!

Mostly just too save a bit of time an energy dealing with grass clippings. Honda hrx has the versamow system so I can part mulch in the spring growth season.

Geez, so many negative comments, this isn't to be all and end-all for small engine oil changes but is a great vid. I too agree with oul changes at earlier intervals, thus is based on examining to the used oil. I think Honda recommended 50 hours becuase it's agreed on with the interests of environmental groups. For much better internal condition, its best, imo, tp change between 25-50 hours depending on the type of mowing (or blowing) you do (this engine is used in many devices, not just mowers.

Fair comment. Honda engines are probably the one brand you can get away with being lax with oil change frequency.

Have you taken it back. Sounds like a problem with the autochoke. I've had the odd carb problem but a quick spray of carb cleaner through the air intake usually sorts it.

GCV200 calls for 0.42 quarts(13.44oz) of oil. That's why Honda ships them with/sells 12oz bottles. 50 hrs is was too long, always cut manufacturer's recommendations in half. I could tell from the video that you are way over filled by almost 25%.

Oil are good these day, 50hrs recommandation are what the engineer thinks is good for the motor with a security margin. Why who you change it at 25hrs?

What is the angle? A mowing pro would safely mount the blades in a vice while sharpening plus balance them when done.
@mowingprolawns
@mowingprolawns 10 ай бұрын
Not sure on the angle just do it by feel. A mowing pro does it outside away from his vice so he doesn't start a fire in his garage.

Thankyou. They are boot protectors called gaiters or putties here in NZ. Mostly used by hunters and farmers here to keep stones and grass out of your boots. The ones I have are made by a brand called Stix and are made of a nylon canvas type of material.

Thanks mate! The only modification I have done is remove the spark arrestor screen off the muffler. They tend to clog up over time and cause running issues.I think you might get a small amount of power increase too. Does make it louder though!

Thank you. Greetings to you too!. Just using regular 91 octane fuel. I do however use a synthetic bio 2 stroke oil called "Lube Co Bio 2T" runs a lot better with less smoke and cleaner burning I think. Also running my mix quite a bit leaner than recommended. Closer to 70 to 1 fuel and oil mix rather than 50 to 1 recommended.
