By the way... The owner also has owned GT40's, 427 cobras, lamborghini miura sv, 900hp Ford RS Evo... His Lotus is faster than everyone of them... It's a 1.8 with a billet 6262 compound charged... it's 1700lbs and makes 680hp at 36psi

Almost forgot... the car wasn't built for top speed it was actually built for the canyons and acceleration... it does 0-60 in under 2 seconds

101Unit101 Nope. Lane splitting is actually dangerous at high speeds. If a car just move a degree or two out of his way(not out of lane..just a little nudge to left or right) he may end up hitting you easily.What is the big problem with picking a lane and staying there?

101Unit101 Nope. Your logic is completely wrong. Lane splitting is avoidable....But when cancer hits you..your hardly have a choice. Any remedy is better than no remedy. But here,it is something you do out of choice.

EinstienJr Not at all... It's a dangerous treatment... why would you subject yourself to that? It might kill you sooner... Also I never said anything about high speed lane splitting... the majority of lane splitting is done when traffic is at a standstill, if you're lane splitting at high speed its almost pointless... Because if there's enough room for you to be speeding there's probably enough room for you to change lanes safely without splitting... So I do agree with that high speed lane splitting is dangerous but lane splitting over all is safer than not doing so when done correctly

Zyona In every other state, yes. In California, they give you "guidelines" for lane splitting. They just treat it as one of those situations that is more of a waste trying to enforce the laws.

Sitting in traffic as a biker you are more likely to get hit and injured. Lane splitting helps limit traffic, and if more people did it, there might not be traffic.

Studies show that if 10% of people switched to scooters and were lane splitting, it would reduce traffic by 40%. Just think if even more people did it. There's a reason why so many people use scooters in other countries with huge populations.

Second of all, it does decrease traffic, because instead of a scooter or motorcycle adding to the traffic, they take away from it by lane splitting. It's one less person in the traffic line. I guess you had trouble understanding my first comment. I said "Lane splitting helps limit traffic, and if more people did it, there might not be traffic." As in if less people drove cars and got bikes, and all those bikers were lane splitting, traffic might be gone.

Alen jsidjsifj Kinda does since you have to give a motorcycle the same space you would give a car which is about a whole nother car link just to be safe, so the bike does add to traffic if its not lane splitting. and now ima like my own comment just to grind your gears.

dude i want it legal in all state of america i lane split everyday in CA and i been riding for 2 years now and to me i feel much much more safer then behind a car cause i would chose hitting some dumb ass mirror then getting pancaked between to car

In California it is legal in Australia it is legal and most of Asia and I'm sure other countries.

fair enough. I am not a biker so would not know to say truthfully. It does seems (from a motorist point of view) to be risky cutting between cars, but I suppose being crushed would be less enjoyable than getting flipped. true that.

just dont be stupid and go 5-10 mph faster then the traffic cause u dont know what kind of dumbass will pull out infront of u and as a sport bike rider i wouldn't recommend a cruiser mainly cause they are bigger which mean harder to stop and turn and harder to lane split then a sportbike or supersport

mafiahalo93 I agree. I only lanesplit if traffic is stopped or around 10 mph, and always at speeds where I can stop within 3 feet or so. I have a dual sport, and I already feel its on the large side for lane splitting. No way I would try it with a cruiser

yea im on a sport bike so i had cruiser try to follow me in lane splitting but they cant keep up cause they are too big i lane split all the way up to 75mph but never faster then 5-10mph then the traffic so if everyone going 65-70 i will be going between them at 75mph

But there are a lot of stupid laws out there. Also, NH doesn't have a traffic problem as CA does. There are many reasons why lane splitting is allowed but I am not getting into that.
