Swimming in the Atlantic in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the moon in front of me, the sun behind. Between two planets took on not just a new meaning, but it was a feeling. I was close to shore and imagined what Don Allum persevered through. The guy is a legend and had balls of steel. RIP. You were truly epic.

Let's face it. None of either entities encountered the same commercial success after the split as the one they got before it. But we're blessed we got 2 bands instead of one out of the hiatus. Tbh some albums are dispensable, on both sides. I kind of lost track of Fish solo work when it got too 'celtic folk' to my own taste. I hung on to it though, like giving him & myself another chance - which many early fans didn't it seems as he lost lots of them after his second or third output even more so after "songs from the mirror" and some fans never came back. As for Steve H. Marillion they reportedly by themselves released albums on a too frequent basis in the 90's and 2000's just to keep up with the album/tour/album/tour routine to ensure enough revenue to keep going. But on both sides there's been some consistency with excellent releases over the last years in my opinion and this track off Marbles is one of my favorite on the album. Epic. Excellent live too, but played on too rare occasions (Neverland off the same album has always been a serious contender on live sets)

This version is so bloody damn great that I get goosebump. This version is on my setlist as a troubadoure I can tell you. So Great! I'm also a singer, guitarist and a songwriter in a Heavy Metal band called Nordic Mist. And we have a metal song named Highlander, very much inspired from Gary Moore and Phil Lynotts original version of thos song. Such a bloody great song!!!!🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟

This is an absolute prog masterpiece, as many of this superb band. Art rock at its best. Being a great fan of progressive rock, maybe Marillion is the band that I enjoy the most listening to (after Floyd.....). Long life to this cult and iconic band!!!!

I've been in a taxi today and I heard this. Late at night, my dissertation speech is on Monday. But I'm heartbroken. My girlfriend left me because I was too clumsy, too different, too incompatible with her, a lesser man... And she came to the conclusion that this is the case after 6 months of relationship, without ever telling me that these constitute too much of a problem for her. She was love bombing me at first, telling me that I was perfect for her. And I continued to be myself. After 6 months, she told me I was not, not anymore. My go to song in the beginning of the relationship was Rocket Man by Elton John. This was what I felt. Loved more than ever in her company. Loved for the first time and for the only time. Now I'm here, hurt, alone, incapable of making sense of this or finishing my paper. But this morning, I will fucking finish it for sure. And this song is my anthem for this. Thank you for listening guys <3
