How do you assign multiple meshes with the same typology, like say 4 car tires to use the same part of UV map?

You have to set the crease to 100% if you want it to be sharp.

Unfortunately saying "take care of your curvature early in the process" means nothing to a beginner.

well done on the triangles part, they are good except on things that are meant to be deformed, like characters. i have seen so many "quads mind" 3d artists making assets for videogames with the most unomtimized polycount ever just because its "all quads"

Much easier to just use the a Triangulate and Wireframe modifier. Making anything significant with the method in the video would take ages.

With the Wireframe modifier you don't control over where you want to add the trusses, it turns the entire mesh to a "Wireframe". The method showed in the video gives you more control and flexibility.

Amazing wonderful tip from 4:23👍 Thanks. This is the first time I have found a practical explanation so easy to learn and quick to apply for switching the flow from more to less polygons.

So undervolting the GPU, lowers temp, power consumption, etc. Does enabling DLSS lower power consumption further? I read that DLSS uses less power when it is enabled I'm not sure if it is the case with UV GPUs?

Thank you man! Your videos are extremely helpful! Keep it up! Sometimes your mic laggs and because of this it's hard to understand the information you say. Can you fix this? 🙂

great tut! I now use this technique when I apply a penis to my character models. I have a related question, what is the best way to add physics to the penis so that it bounces and swings around when I rig and animate it? thx!

Good tut, thanks. The one thing I would say is this method changes the design to fit the topology. It needs to be the other way where the topology needs to be adjusted to the design. An example is say the cylinder is more to a vertical angle, or the cyliner is thicker/thinner than the edges can reach. Good tut though.

Is this subdivision surface is must for good toplogy modeling
@pardis_hashemi
@pardis_hashemi 2 жыл бұрын
No, using subdivisions surface is preferred for high poly modeling because of the flexibility it brings, where you can visually see your model at different mesh densities. It's not necessary.
