Why waste time on something that can't even be produced today?

Korean, Turkish and Indian are clear copies of F22/F35, but even by looking they look not balanced like Lockheed ones.

Funny enough Pakistan ended up with F-16A and Cs, JF-17 (Very similar in design philosophy and look to F20) and J10C (Similar in look and design philosophy) to the Lavi.

I think this marks the beginning of our current "taxpayer money doesn't have to be handled responsibly" phase in the US. The origins of the joint strike fighter program were a mere 10 years after this, and by then we had pretty much cemented the idea that budgets are of no consequence. So now we have massively expensive, delicate, hard to maintain fighters that can't actually fight.

When the F-20, which was on a demonstration flight in South Korea, crashed, what the general of ROKAF said: "As expected, F-5." The limit of a small fighter using one F404 engine. Today, the JAS-39 and FA-50 are fighter jets that use one F404 engine.

Qué lástima!! De todos modos varias naciones han modernizado sus F-5 con elementos que se probaron en el F-20. Un avioncito pequeño, pero matón.

A good idea for smaller nations, overshadowed by the price tag (too close to an F-16, which was considered a "real fighter" in comparison).

Pakistan Air Force was offered F-20 in early 1980 with license production but the Machine was not fully ready and the Soviets were knocking on the door in Af-Pak border region, so, Pakistan remain steadfast with F-16 & only F-16 and finally Regan Administration has no choice but to release the F-16 sales to Pakistan which was partly funded by Pakistan and party Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

My mum was under that. The whole family lost everything, and they were evacuated to Luneburg. Years later, after emigrating to Australia with my dad (British), we went to the museum at Canberra. One of the main exhibits being the Lancaster. Mum muttered something in German and kicked it its tyre!!!

Little doubt it was a very good jet. I think that history shows that it may have lacked the expansion capability, which the F-16 has demonstrated. It seems obvious that the F-16 was a better jet. But, I love the look of the F-20

The National guard should be forced to purchase a massively upgraded version of the F20. Even today it can scramble faster than anything else. Even the trainer version of the F5 is still in use as are F4s. Ukraine is gonna need more F16s
