Cocker spaniels originated in Spain? Are you sure about that? I’m a cocker spaniel owner and I’ve read at least five books in the past that says they originated in the UK, most notably England.

At the harbour near my family's summerhouse I met a cocker spaniel puppy. It was tiny, and oreo coloured, and it had these huge sad and tired eyes that looked beautiful. I was allowed to pet it. It was super soft. It wasn't overexcited. It calmly licked my hands while I was petting it.

I just saw the "singing dog" at the Tiger Rescue in Pittsboro, North Carolina, they got it in a month ago. It didn't make a sound and looks like my old dog. You would never know anything unusual about it. I felt bad for it, all alone surrounded by big cats in there sanctuary enclosures. It was unfortunate, the dog was treated very poorly by whomever owned it previously before it was rescued. It is better here than in an abusive environment.

It's from my home Province, they are called owa in my native tongue owa - dog. Since it's native to us we have descriptive words for dogs. Owa pela - male dog, owa imbi- female dog, owa wag - puppy, owa pui - puppy taken or without mother. We have a lot of mythical stories about them and our people fear this dogs.. 💯🔥🇵🇬❤👍🏻
@Fallout-76142 жыл бұрын
They sound like mischievous forest spirits. I never heard of these dogs until today. They must sound quite haunting when howling together within the forests. You have me completely interested in their mythical stories🧡🧡🧡☺️ I love hearing of other mystical things from around the world, it just the wonder these stories hold but also hidden reasons why they are. Thank you xx

@kathleenann6313 жыл бұрын
Yes, they can climb trees to a point (depending on branches). If you have ever had one, u know they do "come from a place inside themselves that is overwhelmingly wild in nature and will never be tamed." So, never leave them alone outside and always "keep an eye" on them while outside in public. However, keeping to these rules, no domesticated creature could ever replace a bond with them.
@MrKnoxguy1012 жыл бұрын
Have you ever had one? I’ve never seen one before but have always wanted to, I’ve never even known of anyone who knew of someone else that’s ever had one, which only increases the curiosity. I have always been fascinated by them though. I’ve seen numerous video taken of them before and it’s rather neat how swiftly they’ll run up in a tree, as if they’re just running up and down a hill.
@ntkproductions17612 жыл бұрын
@@MrKnoxguy101 they look like every street dog in PNG not gonna lie, except a little more wild. On my street there were dogs that sung like that every sunset, so they were probably mixed.

I think my Chi has a better, louder voice...if you have a singing contest! One of My other dogs (Pit/Basset mix) LOVES to howl with a bone in his mouth....it acts like a megaphone, and is something to hear/see! But I am glad this breed is being saved. It is such a GREAT loss to lose any species of ANYTHING....bugs, animals...ANYTHING. They never come back.

I absolutely love our 3.5 month old fur-baby Kota...btw all that negative ""wild animal; don't advise having one for a pet" is pure bullshit.... just saying.... He eats puppy food(wet/dry), leash trained, potty trained, crate trained, obedience trained, plays with the other dog in the house, good with children, affectionate, loves to play inside/outside, gives kisses, let's me bath and groom him, lays in my arms like a baby/carried like a toddler, very vocal, very intelligent, fast learner, loyal, not aggressive, protective of his family. Kota is hands down the best dog I have ever had!!!!

The ones from Native New Guineans are pretty wild, they’re bred to be hunters
@meganmmurillo34963 жыл бұрын
@@kingofthebeast4024 Kota is very much still wild like the native breed but yet domestic at the same time. Kota is even started "hunting" mice which is native to what the breed does.
