The thing is you are no longer using Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. You have changed battery chemistry to the batteries that do tend to have run away reactions causing fires. LiFePO4 batteries are significantly more stable and can deliver days of performance as well. Amped Outdoors makes terrific LiFePO4 batteries as well.

Any idea why there are so many dead crappie floating at Egypt?
@3poundCrappiefishing4 күн бұрын
we think it is is herbicide from possible weed killing for spring. It only seems to be affecting a smaller crappie and overall not really that many. The weird thing is it is all over the lake not isolated in an area. That's just a guess though

You should buy the Garmin Force trolling motor if you can hire someone to manage the foot pedal on a consistent basis. Another thing, the spot lock is so inaccurate, you have to be ok with fishing in a different zip code once you engage it. Other than that it’s great.

I just bought jig heads yesterday and now you finally have bluegrass hair jig. Friend of mine hand tied some blue grass and they were money on my lake. Blue Grass Bobby Garland work great also. Now have to get some blue grass hair jigs. Have a safe holiday weekend.

Congrats on Rendlake. I am going out Monday to my clear lake and do some brush and sniping. I liked a previous video on your stairstep retrieve on stubborn crappie. I tried it and it works. Yes, it is close to summer and the rec boats are coming out. I see you mostly use 1/32. I have your 1/32 and 1/8th jigs pill and sickle. Love your quality and the eyelets are great for braid. Thinking about adding 1/16.

Fun to watch a fishing rod go through prototype. Definite buy a fishing rod from Matt. His product and integrity are top notch. I was having issues with USPS delivery on my Savage 13 and Matt definitely made it right. Friend of mine bought the Hammer and loves it.

Using a boat and a sonar like that… you can hone in on anything. The challenge is…. Finding the fish.

I use a regular 7 foot patio umbrella a 3 foot piece of PVC that fits over the pedestal pole that you used then a couple bungee cords to keep it from rocking with the waves it's big enough to shade you and partner, does tilt at the top

We gave the Big E a break and went to Barkley. Since fall I’ve not been able to get the fish to bite. We’ve tried minnow, jigs, sent and would be on pile of huge schools that normally bite. In the fall we would catch 50-80 a day and now we do good luck o catch a dozen. We caught about 20-26 on Barkley. 2 - 15” fish a 5-13” fish. It was an awesome putting it together on Barkley again. The last 10yrs have been rough. In the 80’s 90’s and early 2000’s it reminded me a lot of Egypt but with a lot larger fish. I hope it’s coming back. But I have fell in love with Egypt. Would love to live up there!
