I know that K-100 and NHT. Been to a Few Trucks Shows at NHT and Weavers Market East Coast Marmon Truck Show. Lots of Great people who have Cool Old School Trucks work at NHT. That place is Top notch Business I picked up my Truck from there Also. I recognized the Route 322 you were Driving on your way to pick her up.😎

Yes sir indeed I totally love this truck. I’ve redone it since that video with a different paint scheme, but it still looks awesome. In my opinion. That truck has never given me any trouble whatsoever and I even let a guy use it for a few months to work…. Same result never let them down. I’ve caught it on a few videos at that Marmon show, but I have a hard time finding the video again. It was a cool drive up and back to get it too. It was just beautiful driving home that evening at Sunset.

I love that White Road Boss Tow Truck! They had some Cool Trucks Growing up in West Chester/ Exton PA. Area in the 60’s Whites, Brockways, Mack’s, Internationals, Fords, Diamond Reos, Autocars, GMC’s and Chevys were the Tools of the Trucking in my Area. Not Many KW’s or Pete’s and Marmon back then. 😎

U can buy ur bus 1/87 size scale
@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE12 сағат бұрын
They want so much money for those though they’re like 80 bucks aren’t they? I can see if it was a much bigger scale but those HO scale buses are way overpriced or I would have one for sure. But you never know I may change my mind lol thanks

Dane I Drove Triples for Buster Brown for the Pup trailers they Started out with 26 then 27 and Currently 28’ for Box Trailers. We would Also pull 2 , 40’ Trailers( AKA “Rocky mountain” Doubles with Each Trailer being Tandem Axle. That Lyons Trailer with that Dolly on the Front May or May not be for that Configuration. I know that PA. For the longest time didn’t allow Doubles at all. 😎

When I was in the Airforce I was a Crewchief and refueled many Jet Fighter Aircraft’s with Trucks Just like This Navy Version Back then they were All Yellow in all the Branches of Service.They Eventually went to the Olive Drab Green Mack’s. Those trucks never left the Flightline unless it had to go to Motorpool or to Refuel Dept/. That’s why Those Trucks were Very True Low Mileage.

Cool Crackerbox with that 238 Detroit. I Dig the Chromed front Bumper. I drove a 67 Ford 1000 Single axle Cabover with a 238 in her. She sounded so sweet and pulled like a Big Dog. Thanks for the Great Video Content. Say Hello to Columbo 10-4😎

Dane I Drove for Buster Brown 29 years until I retired with them out west. We had 1 F model left when I went into the Feeder Dept. UPS would have the Package Delivery Trucks Destroyed. The Tractors they had a Vendor who would take them South of the Border. They would paint the Whole Cab Grey to “Cover” the Brown . Many of those trucks had 2-3 million miles and Depending on whether it was a Good Maintenance Truck ( no Problems or a Lemon ) would Dictate whether they Kept it or Moved it on to another Branch of UPS. The Bean Counters ( who only Cared about the Penny pinching and Not about the Driver’s who had to Drive that Truck would Order Many Under powered, no Emblems, Grass Burner Exhaust, Arm Strong Steering and No AC. Up until the Teamsters agreement to Finally require AC in our Western Climates where the Temperature outside would be 100 - 120 Degrees The Cabovers that Took over for Us were Daycab Ultra liners, GMC Astro Daycabs, International 9670 Daycabs as the Length Laws Started Changing we were able to Pull Triples with the Short nose Internationals all Single axles. We Eventually started to Get the CH600 Single axle Mack with Power Steering and AC but the Bean Counters Still had us Under powered with Dinky Engines. We had Serious Problems when the Powers to be Decided we were on Time Network. We Couldn’t Pull Triples with Small motors so they had to Order trucks with Mack 350 and International Cabover with N- 14 Cummins and the Set back front Axle International with the Detroit series 60. What a Huge Improvement! Anyway a Little about UPS. I wouldn’t if I was the Owner of that Former F Model UPS Truck be Painting or anything to its former Glory. UPS will definitely not be happy!!📦

O-H-I-O Porters🇺🇸Top of the morning on this cold Monday morning! The sun is up & feels so, so good! I can remember when my dad would get a vehicle in & I would take it to the garage & look through the back seats & find coins & $1 bills. You never know what you might find in the bus. Some of those cards got pretty warm! Hahaha! Cutting out all that stainless steel, etc isn’t easy, huh? You’re doing a fine job, though! We still have a crockpot with that print. WOW! Some fine cabovers!! Cabovers Rule, in my book, you know! I loved those 76 trucks stops! They had such great food! Thanks for sharing! Stay safe & warm! Blessings! 🥰❄️✌️

Hello Dane, Just curious about the bus. Some of those had an APU for heating and air conditioning. The reason for that was in cold, or hot weather while sitting at a terminal the old Detroit wouldn't have to run, plus in cold weather the engine temperature would cool down so much it wouldn't put out any heat. One bad thing about the older engines. Had to rev them up to about 1000 RPM to stay warm . APU = Auxiliary Power Unit.
@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE2 күн бұрын
I will definitely have something addressed for that. Not sure which way I’m gonna go yet. Thanks for the info.😬👍

That’s Don Carmen’s baseball card at 6:11. He was a decent reliever for the Phils back a couple decades ago. I hope those cool tiles you wanna place on the steps of the bus aren’t too slippery when wet. Keep the cab- overs coming b/c I love ‘em…
@DaneScottsTRUCKERSLOUNGE2 күн бұрын
You bet brother I will, I have a lot more pics and will put more in if I can, but I’m always cognizant of time. Thanks for pointing out the tiles. I’ll have to address that. Perhaps some thin skid tape on each step edge.

Mike Parkhurst was a Trucker Before driver before he Started Overdrive Magazine. He was Fed up with all the wrong he incurred when he was a Driver. I grew up reading Overdrive and the First Strike in 73. My Neighbors were Steel haulers for Kaplan trucking and Kulp&Gordon. They were both Owner Operators. Those were some Scarry Times For we had to Quit Going for Rides Back then.😎
