Good day!!! Thank you very... VERY MUCH for the work you've done! You've brought me closer to boundless happiness!!! BUT the issue was not resolved completely, because your script does not to scale the screen to the selected sub-objects. If several vertices (for example) of an object are selected, then the screen is scaled across the entire object. It necessary be like in old versions of 3dsmax - the screen is scaled to the selected sub-objects, and if no sub-objects are selected, then the screen is scaled to the entire selected object. Forgive me if I'm distracting you, but it seems you're the only one who can save me from years of suffering! 🙂 Thanks in advance!!!!!!

Hi, yeah you're right, the script solved the main issue and left out the Sub-Object part, i will fix that. Meanwhile, you can use a different shortcut other than Z for the script, and keep the Z for the Sub-Object level selection. Or use a button. I will work on that in the coming two days or so and keep you updated.

@@MiledRizk Once again - thank you very much! I use hot keys that I assign to a gaming mouse with many buttons (10 on the side and 5 on top). Naturally, I use the keyboard. I almost never use the buttons in the program itself, with rare exceptions. After installation, I found your script by name in the hot key editor and assigned it to the corresponding mouse button. Of course, I can use the standard zoom for subobjects and your script at the same time, but for this I will have to add an additional button and remember it. You have already done so much for me. I could not find a solution for several years. Your help is incredible! Thank you! 🤝

I'm glad you liked it. I will update the script eventually of course. I was only speaking temporarily if you like to have a different shortcut or a button, just until i do the update. Probably between Monday and Wednesday. 👍

Good day. I encountered a problem - if the object is in the "editable poly" mode and I am editing, for example - vertices, then if not selected any vertex, then when I press the "zoom extents selected" button, the screen is scaled by all objects in the scene, and not by the object in which I am working. Help me fix this problem, maybe there is some setting in the system that I do not know about. Thanks in advance!

Hi, yes I'm aware of this issue. It happens with Editable Mesh, Editable Poly, and with objects with an Edit mesh modifier. I'm working now on creating a plugin to replace the built-in function to fix this issue. I might post it tomorrow or after. I'll add a reply here to keep you updated when I'm done.

@@MiledRizk Thank you very much for your answer and understanding! This is a very big problem for me. А long time I working in 3dsMax 2012, and this problem was not there. And all my actions are practiced to the point of automatism, and if I want to see the entire object, I deselect the subobjects and press hotkey - "zoom extents selected". BUT in new versions of the 3dsMax, instead of my object I see the entire scene... This is simply driving me crazy, and I can't retrain myself. I will be extremely grateful to you for your help! Thank you and good luck to you!

Very cool! Glad to see you update :) I do have a question though, sometimes I use "Multi/Sub-Object" materials, would this plugin help in those cases? like if you have a bricks material and wood material plugged into a "Multi/Sub-Object", and that multi-material is applied to all objects, can you select a bricks object and use plugin to isolate only brick objects? or would it get all bricks and wood objects because they share the same "Multi/Sub-Object" material?
@MiledRizk

The script will consider the top level material only. But, it's an interesting suggestion. Maybe it will be an option for a new update

Hello, I help me organize a set of max plug-in through AI, would you like to experience it? It is very convenient to do interior design, but some of it is in Chinese, but it is very easy to use, and there are some problems on the script can be discussed together
