This is exactly what I've been experiencing for the past year. Its been a nightmare. Its rendered me unable to work its gotten so bad. Ive been in and out of doctor's offices and received numerous false diagnoses. Its a dull yet still painful (if that makes sense) sensation behind my right ear and the base of my skull and down my neck. Im 99% sure ive finally figured it out. Thank you.

Going to ask my MD for diazepam suppositorys. Lidocaine on q tip up rectum shows some benefit. Pudendal nerve is like a itch you can scratch, but feels like a tooth ache between your legs. Gabapentin and Oxycontin has side effects I hate. Just got MD to order MRI, then to urologist that for the most part was as helpful of a first year nursing student. He only suggested advil. Hopefully after MRI, to get surgeon that can help.

What does it feel like to have a brachial plexus injury? I got in a motorcycle accident last year, but until last week, I thought I had only gotten hemiplegia from it. I’m feeling a tearing pain on my scapula at its connection to my trap, on my hemiplegic side. According to that logic, how does that work, cause from what i understand, the hemisphere of the brain controls the opposite side of the body. I.E., right hemisphere controls left limbs. With this understanding of the brain, how can I smack my head on the right side, get my hemiplegia on the left, and still get this brachial plexus pain on my left side?

Can this causes cough syncope type of episodes? My dad has recently been suffering from 15-20+ episodes where he suddenly starts coughing and then faints for 10-20 seconds, sometimes upto 2 min. It can also occur when sleeping, talking or just sitting watching TV. The doctors suspect Nervous system disorder & have determined it’s not epilepsy or seizures. He’s working on a referral to Mayo Clinic now. And I’m researching as much as I can to try to find an answer.

I had a near life ending accident which involved a multilevel fusion T3-T8. Severely fractured sternum and multiple broken ribs and a mediastinal Haematoma. This was 3 1/2 years ago. I complained of shortness of breath and it has been gradually getting worse. I have now been diagnosed with both Phrenic nerves severed approximately around the level of my heart. I live in Australia and I cannot find anyone that does this repair. I am very concerned as the atrophy is getting worse and where I will end up breathing wise.

Ive been offered cryoablation, before trying to get my Kaiser insurance to pay for pudendal nerve decompression surgery. I've had two 100% successful nerve blocks done at the ischial spine. He wants to do a block at the Alcock's Canal, then treat there. But that's distal to my previous blocks AND to the most common entrapment location for that nerve - the spot where the sacrospinus and sacrotuberous ligaments cross. Apparently all ablation types for treating pudendal neuralgia get done this way. This doesn't make sense to me, and I can't talk to this doctor until the day I fly there for the block. What am I missing? I'm an Electrical Engineer who spent my career in Silicon Valley developing novel medical devices, including implantable defibrillators and RF generators for performing ablation procedures - which is what i was expecting to be offerred. BUT - if that block doesn't help, wouldn't that verify my nerve issue is proximal to the canal and is likely trapped between the ligaments? Pain started during a six month time period where I had to use a knee cart for a right leg injury. I tried the DRG stimulator, and have had my genitofemoral nerve and the perineal branch of my left pudendal nerve cut.
