In my view your way of thinking is wrong. It is not enough to calculate NPV A to chose the C answer. I mean if the projects are mutually exclusive you don't choose the project on the basis of just a positive NPV (after calculating the NPV A which happened to be positive, you said A should be chosen in any case which is not truth). You have to choose one of the projects with the highest NPV, which might have easily been the B project (assuming you had not known the NPV b beforehand). Am I right here?
