? A suivre. VT

I've been with the company allied universal security for almost 10 years and I have no pto no sick pay or paid vacation. This company needs to take better care of the employees
@xxxCrackerJack501xxx2 жыл бұрын
I worked for Allied for years, got fired recently when I tried to blow the whistle on some illegal and dangerous things we were exposed to and rampant corruption, you wouldn't believe how much of a scam Security is. We exist in most places primarily so an insurance company can check a box, other than that they DO NOT CARE as long as you're a body and on the property. Guards are treated as jack of all trades often put in situations/given tasks requiring skills and knowledge you're neither paid OR trained for that sometimes put people in danger. If you do the *bare minimum* of your post orders (like staying awake) you'll probably be a star employee and promptly overworked and sent to "the good sites" where the contracts they actually care about are or that they've had bad PR at (like the time a guard pulled a knife on a customer or punched a pregnant woman) and they need someone there who isn't drunk or a psychopath to make things look good. They'll keep you there, probably 7 days a week because they beg/coerce you to stay there until you burn out at which point if you've done well they don't mind if you took a little "covid leave ;)" as a reward. HOPEFULLY they pay you correctly for those 80 hour weeks beforehand though since it's not uncommon to be shorted (I even know guards who signed contracts to be paid at one rate and then were paid far less than they signed on for, the original documents conveniently were "lost") and certainly be careful if you dare go above your supervisor because you were paid wrong *5 weeks in a row* because you might get retaliated against by getting stuck with two consecutive 16 hour shifts on the weekend (a shift that 2 other guards were previously scheduled at and I was SPECIFICALLY MOVED TO instead which disrupted operations for a week). This company is corrupt and actively encourages mediocrity by _barely_ training its people and rewards blind subservience over hard work and initiative that are just exploited instead, and if they lose people? Who care since their hiring quota was 16 per day in my area and we had plenty of new people every day (many of whom were not taught how to get paid and operate ehub which is what we use to work and check scheduling and so on). They have a quantity not quality approach and fleeces their customers while ruining lives (like the time they manipulated a man who was, to put it politely, very obviously mentally disabled until he had a breakdown and quit) and if they ever lose a contract to a better, often smaller, company they just buy out that company and get the contract back. They are a borderline monopoly that spreads like a cancer I hope they fall like Rome under the weight of their own stupidity and greed.

His success comes from the backs of the security guards working poverty wages with terrible conditions with no job security or benefits He sleeps like a baby oppressing millions of employees. Allied is only about CORPORATE FIRST! SECURITY GUARDS LAST! I can't wait for this company to collapse. The strategy of this joke of a CEO is to aquire debt from as many existing security firms and run off a never ending credit line increase and when the debt catches up he will dip out.

Its hard staying motivated at a company that tells you you're appreciated but doesnt believe paying OT even when necessary. They will find a floater with limited hours b4 allowing you to receive any OT. Almost 5 years at this company and i have to balance the pros and cons. Like my salary has doubled and at least i have two weeks vacation if i want. Theres a buyback option too. But here in nyc working full time but no OT and needing health insurance.....ive got to look at what the competition is offering bc its just not fair.

This guy isn't qualified to be the CEO of a public restroom. Listening to this guy respond to sexual misconduct allegations by his employees makes you realize exactly how a toxic culture was allowed to persist in Allied's workplace. The worst of business practices where you pay people off and cover things up rather than admitting wrongdoing and atrocious top-level management.

This guy is a real piece of crap and for sure a huge liar. His company Allied Universal is under investigation, finally after years of complaints and lawsuits, by the New York Port Authority for encouraging and defending misogyny and racism in the work place. He and his management staff who he actively defends are exactly the kinds of people the #metoo movement and #Blacklivesmatter are fighting against. AND, who all of us who are not Trump supporters are fighting against. You can hear the story at This American Life .org. It's called LaDonna.
