I've just heard this song on a recording of a pirate radio station in London on 11th November 1975. It was Radio Kaleidoscope and the presenter was Mike Baker (alias Barry Martin). It's a beautifully melodic song. I've just discovered that Simon is the younger brother of Pete Townshend.
