Hey, thank you very much for this great video. I was there from May to December 1999 as a KFor soldier. I'm happy to see this beautiful city again after 25 years. Some of it looked like it did back then. I plan to travel there myself in the next 2 years. I'm glad that people are doing well so far. Have really had a bad time. So, thank you again, have a nice trip for me.

Beautiful Prizren. 🇽🇰🇦🇱🦅👐🏼 a historical city. Archaeological excavations in Prizren Fortress indicate that its fortress area has seen habitation and use since the Bronze Age. In antiquity the territory of Kosovo was called Dardania and was ruled by Justinian. Prizren was the capital of the Sanjak of Prizren, and under new administrative organization of Ottoman Empire it became capital of the Vilayet. The Ottoman registers from the 15th-16th century indicate that the villages in the Prizren-Has region in Kosovo had a significant Albanian population. During the Austrian-Ottoman wars, the local Albanian population in the Prizren region rallied to support the Austrians against the Ottomans under the leadership of the Albanian priest Pjeter Bogdani. Documents and dispatches refer to the Austrians marching to "Prizren, the capital of Albania" where they were welcomed by Bogdani and 5,000-6,000 Albanian soldiers. During the late 19th century, the city became a focal point for Albanian nationalism and saw the creation in 1878 of the League of Prizren, a movement formed to seek the national unification and autonomy of Albanians within the Ottoman Empire. Prizren is the city where the League of Prizren was founded (Albanian Unification league) 🇦🇱🇽🇰🦅

@@Cvikeras Prizren is the city where the Albanian national pride was born. The League of Prizren (Albanian: Besëlidhja e Prizrenit), officially the League for the Defense of the Rights of the Albanian Nation (1878-1881). Kosovo 🇽🇰 has been Vilayet in the Ottoman Empire, was not part of Serbia. Before that was ruled for more than 200 years by Dukagjini family during 14, 15 centuries. In Yugoslavia it was autonomous territory. Now Yugoslavia is broken up and the nations are divided. Same thing happened with Kosovo. Grow up and get it in your head: You don’t own Kosovo 🇽🇰 (it’s Albanian land and not your). For Albanians it is Jerusalem too. Don’t compare us with Israel case. Is like comparing apples with oranges. You’re not Isra el and we’re not Palestine. It’s a different story. Albanians of Kosovo will NEVER allow to join Serbia again.

Yes of course in Kosova there are 3% of population serbs, and you can find serbs anywhere. But since the recorder purpose was not there to find serbs and interview them you don’t see them or you might see them but you don’t recognize them by walking in the streets of Prishtina.
