Absolutely captivating. It seems that this journey beckons to nearly everyone at some point in their lives. Maybe it’s something cathartic, or perhaps a deep yearning for closure. I always vowed never to traverse south of Ascension again, unlike many of my friends who have dared to make that journey. Yet, perhaps as we reach a certain age, there’s an innate compulsion to reflect upon those who were less fortunate than ourselves. Could it be that this reflection offers us a type of resolution, or perhaps a sense of peace?

We are taught to never speak ill of the dead . So here goes ….Tennant , albeit capable of being mildly amusing and achieving large projects , he was nothing much more than a thoroughly dreadful little man . IMO .

The great Alan Whicker. But one thought. What was the point of carrying a revolver, that could not kill a Rat from 5 feet 😂

Why do the heirs of these elderly sophisticated aristocrats look like a bunch of dishevelled young, hippie bums? It’s like for every Charles you have a nasty looking Harry. Or the son of Rothschild is some long haired skater boy looking dude who nobody can take seriously. And now many of those heirs have taken over. It’s like the 60s age is now in charge today and no wonder the world has gone to shit!

Just a scam. The 1960s version of a Victorian Seance. All quite sad really. This Company along with many others went bust by the mid 70s and all these people bar one James Bedford whose remains remain in stasis in Arizona, were defrosted and disposed of traditionally.

Completely unrepentant. Actually scary how totally unfazed she was by her entire sordid existence. 36 when this was filmed. Being reasonably well spoken and a good communicator undoubtedly aided her lifestyle and is not to be commended. Total narcissistic psychopath.

1974 and the exact same Gun Control arguments are vocalised in 2024. No progress. Just more deaths. The human condition. Also to note that the likes of Roberta from the 70s could now be entering their own 70s. Bear that in mind when you see an innocuous old lady in the street. We were all young and rebellious once.

How come there are practically no films or docs about Haiti and in particular papa doc? I’m just reading the comedians and realised I know nothing about this period…. no wonder , it’s like it’s forgotten, isn’t this the foundation of why it’s in such a mess today . No one cares about it it seems….. very sad

Alan Whicker the master. Watch as he walks down the side of that school where the serial killer selected his victims. One take only and word perfection form Mr Whicker just like when he walks the entire length of the QE2 doing the same thing. They no longer make journalist like this.

Alan Whicker’s legs are a very strange colour 😂 and he is cringingly condescending, patronising and chauvinistic, but then back in 1971 most men were. He was a product of his time. Good to see Jol, Jenny and their beautiful boat.

My moms side of the family is related to him, we went down and visited great aunt Lulu, oh it was wonderful to listen to her, I was a young teen and I was amazed listening to her stories. I'm glad she kept his grave a secret, people would've desecrated it, like they do everything else.
