I believe Ryan Coogler will one of the next ones. I know he's been stuck in the Marvel machine for a bit, but even with Marvel he got a lot freedom to do something different and make a huge cultural impact with the Black Panther films. He also has CREED and very impressive debut with FRUITVALE STATION. I've always felt he has huge potential to do even greater things once he's outside of Marvel.. And now his new vampire film set in the 1930s which is being shot on 70mm IMAX film sounds like he's taking that next big step. There was even a bidding war between studios to get the rights to his upcoming film....This guy will be a house hold name one day.
