Just bought one of these - 1.8 Nevada (I like the colour and the two tone steering wheel which matches the soft-top) - also have a Cobra exhaust which sounds lovely. They are so much fun to drive.

I have the Cobalt axle back on an NB2 and love it. Not too loud in low revs but really speaks above 4K.

Hey there, isn't the MAF directional and didn't you put the new one the wrong way (the connector is on the other side)? Did this create any issues or this particular MAF doesn't care for the direction of the air flow?

Im 19 with 2-3 years and 0 NCD and its £650 for me with my 1.8 (Although have had to add the parents of course...but they don't drive it ;)

Looks like a very clean MK2.5 you got there. Just wondering do you always keep it outside? I have a 1.8 litre MK2.5 which is always left outside as I don't have a garage unfortunately. Mx5's are great cars. Their only flaw is rust. I am looking to get a cobalt exhaust. Does your MX5 just have a back box or the cobalt mid pipe as well? Cheers Ash

Thanks man ! Nope In a garage tucked away and she has been fully rust proofed and removed any excess rust. They are amazing but yes as you say RUST. We got lucky with this one and she is almost rust free it's the cobalt axelback full exhaust system and worth it by heck she sounds ace on throttle with the intake too. Nice project car, MX5s are the best. We're parting a mk2 now and just got a mk1. JDM version, 114bhp out of the 1.6l :) Mk2 1.8 were 138bhp I believe.
