❤ loved Rick ❤ i grew up watching him as Art in Joe Dante's Cult Classic The 'Burbs & as the security guard in Dante's Classic sequel, Gremlins 2. The guy was rapid fire quick witted, hilarious & always likeable in everything 😊 RIP way too young 😢

I love coming on here and seeing how so many people loved my cousin and enjoyed his talent! I really loved him in Blank Check! Us Canadians spell it "cheque", though. That was a fun movie. I loved family reunions with him and I ESPECIALLY loved when he would pop in for a visit unannounced and stay for supper and keep us all up laughing for hours. He was always sooooo sweet to me and I was over the moon when he mailed me an autographed photo of him with Tom Hanks from "The 'Burbs". I miss him soooo much. Thanks so much for compiling all of these.

That is so good to hear. He was a genuine great. One of my favorite all time routines of his was "Hit and Run" I still repeat lines out loud from time to time... I used to have a VHS from the first time I saw it on HBO (a long time ago) it finally quit on me, but if I ever get a chance to purchase that one on a DvD or digital version... count me in! =)~ Best Comedy Intro of ALL times!!!

I recall a Young Comedian HBO special that Rick Ducommun was a part of, and he was hilarious. I also remember him for his short spot in the movie "Die Hard".

Wavester64 He was great in everything he did, I liked his cameo in “The last Boy Scout as well”! He could steal a scene! What a character, he will be missed but his legacy in comedy and Skull Skates will live on! Love ya Rick!

@@emotionaladolf9969 The best was having him for a cousin! I would be minding my own business and suddenly hear his voice and go and look and there he was on TV again, in another movie or something. I was living in Seattle in 1992 and he was filming an HBO special. When he found out his little cousin was in the audience, he called me up on stage later! Then we went to his hotel and talked and laughed until 4 AM! Was amazing! His little girl Nash was there, she was about 4 or 5. My other cousin PD (he runs Skull Skates) was there too and it was so lovely. Great memories! I miss him so much. Once he got really going with his career, of course we saw less and less of him but he was great about sending us postcards and everything.

This either dates from 1980 and Camille Henderson is lying about her age (she was born in '70), or it dates from '82 and her sister Saffron is lying about her age (she was born in '65). Given the numbers performed, the clothing and the production values, I'm guessing it's the former situation. Whatever the case, the Henderson sisters were the daughters of Collectors and Chilliwack co-founder Bill Henderson, so they were privileged music 'royalty', and therefore The Little Ladies were by no means the result of serendipity or innocent fortuity. I remember catching their appearance on an episode of the CBC's What's New or Chris Makepeace's Going Great (circa 1982), and by that time they had developed into snooty divas -- Saffron and Leanne Patenaude in particular, if I recall correctly.

Here's more about one of the "2 young video game developers" - Don Mattrick. Mr. Mattrick (Distinctive Software) went on to become EA Canada (SSX & NBA Live). I produced voice talent for them for a few months in the late 90's (they were fans of Zig Zag) and was able to secure a position with EA Canada (at a 'finder's fee) for the Dr. Bundolo's Pandemonium Medicine Show writer Colin Yardley (the former Dan Thatchuk).

The "2 young video game developers" were to go on to fame and fortune. One of them joined up with Trip Hawkins in the early years of the company Electronic Arts. There is more to the story and maybe someone else can fill it in. Once again though, it shows the creativeness of the people, led by Producer Ross Sullivan, behind the scenes of Zig Zag. They did the leg-work and came up with the show's "meat".
