Not gonna lie, it kinda looks like this emote was supposed to be a skill in 1.0. The speed at which the movement is executed, and the effects around it have a big FFXI vibe, and FFXIV 1.0's skills(then ARR and HW's) have a similar style.

Most of these changes to the general colour design, and the effects feel so contrarian to the typical identity the jobs usually exhibit. But I guess some people like that.

As someone who plays on eternal free trial you can get plenty of emotes and cosmetic items without spending a single cent, not even buy the game or pay a monthly fee. The coolest weapons and most of the cool cosmetics as well are obtained in game. Things in the cash shop are just a few cosmetics/emotes and rewards from past limited events that people who played those events got it for free.

You start out by buying the base materials with white crafter scrips, which you can farm but really I just let me weekly delivery quests do for me. Then it's just managing the difficulty of Expert Crafting. The early ones you can macro with limited success, but it's just a lot of sitting and paying attention lol. Overall it wasn't TOO long of a grind. I suggest finding the ones you like the look of best and going for it!
