The literally are the polar opposite. They are a money making exercise for the company that makes them and the dealers that sell them. Ridiculous premium. Complete fad.

If even 10% of the country goes to the bank to withdraw everything, the entire system and economy collapses. All fiat goes to zero. How don't people realise what is kicking them in the face, USD is even worse 😂

I think, too much is, if you have to choose what you can't take with you. 100oz is approximately 6lbs, using a back pack with a frame, a fit guy could carry double that, if a high percentage is gold. It might seem historically perverse, but im much happier with my 2.5 - 1 STG ratio, If some really nice silver designs come along, adding them to my collection wouldnt be an issue.

In America, thank goodness, in addition to house security services, I have a vicious licensed guard dog and access to a shotgun and other firearms. I've always said though, that if you cannot lug your money out in a backpack, its too much. Sane people would have a month or two in expenses in gold and silver to start.

I go for a 10/1 split 10oz silver to 1 gold, or if it's something that has quite a high premium I'll get 1oz silver to 1/10 gold

There are two answers to stackers ( like me) then obviously you can never have too much ( well for gold , stacking silver is a bit silly if you are from the UK, and i could probably make a good argument against it in any country, collecting silver is fine ) . The more sensible answer approx 10% may be as high as 20% of your investments

The 70 20 10 strategy is often recommended after your income has been taxed. 70% for living expenses, 20% for savings and debt and 10% for additional savings. That 10% is the investment in precious metals. Pensions, ISA’s, etc is from the 20%.

I just can't see the value in alot of stocks & shares. Once you take out the dealing costs, £12.95 to buy or sell, foreign shares FX exchange rate fees, potential 3.5% dividend, coupled with the risk of dividend cut or the risk of shares tanking . . look at Cathie Wood of Ark investments . . she's lost her clients $Billions. I started buying silver at £10/ounce, it's now at £24.46 . . looks like I did better than a professional investment manager . . . #cathiewoods

Storing this stuff is something I didn’t think about much when I started stacking. At the end of the day you actually have to LIKE doing this. Just like any other investment, gotta atleast enjoy it because it’s alot of time and effort no matter what investing you do. Just like investing in stocks or crypto, you gotta learn how to do Technical analysis and gotta atleast LIKE doing it too. I have found I hate it so I just toss alittle money when I can to silver or gold.

Read the book "The Great Taking", it's scary how your shares, ETF's etc, which have a counter party risk, are not safe if and when the system goes down! Physical Gold and Silver have no counter party risk, and it's an insurance policy 😊

I had a few hundred shares of a company and they were worth 5figures after real nice run. Out of the nowhere the company decided to do multiple reverse split and a few other things and now I’m left with .09shares with a total value of $.0085. It was disheartening to see those gains and not having cashed out and come back to see it’s not even worth a cent now. I could have bought a few monster boxes of silver or a few oz of gold

European Mint do beautiful coins. I've particularly fallen in love with their Chronos series, but living in Australia, I haven't found any local dealers getting them in. I have bought 1 (along with some other coins at the time) directly from them, but it ends up being really expensive, probably doubling the listed price by the time I do international bank transfers and postage.
