Hey there, just watched a couple of your videos, they're very informative at least for us no nothings, I just got an old 69 Venture, not nearly as old as I am but I would like to start trying to fix it up and be able to go sailing with my grandson sometime. Just wanted to say thanks and I'll be checking out all of your videos

That one is actually polyester not cotton. I haven't used a cotton roller except to lay up fiberglass Matt

if you keep doing that, it will always release hair on the tape. best thing to do is not to use a new roller. use one that's been around the block already

Also, did you ever post a video of the hole you were going to patch in the companionway bulkhead where it appeared someone removed a speedo? Thanks for your videos!

Another beautiful sailboat video. Thanks Pop! I have a 1958 hull # 82 Flying Scot with original paperwork, original sails including silk spinnaker and a set of Schurr racing sails. It could use a little freshening, mainly new stay lines although they are not breaking they are a few years old. This is below the water line and needs to be done annually. I would rather have 4200 however the Biden administration has left us without.

Silicone is a bit sketch. The sun will eventually destroy it, and I think it's a bit questionable below the waterline. The only good thing about it is it's easy to get off. You should use a sealant specifically made for underwater use here, such as something polyurethane based.
