Checks out. I actually did a daily video for a year on one of my other channels. There is no year two because there is nothing worth saying every day for a year on end. Hope it all continues to work out!

How tall are you? How did you develop your goal at 78kg? You’re getting there!
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
184 cm. The goal is because I remember the last time I was at that weight - I felt great and I could run fast. Also it is around my ideal weight if you look at BMI.
@POVwithRC2 ай бұрын
Home gym. I used to have a membership. I agree, mix is important. The same lifting routine for months is terrible for the spirit.
@joannaz682 ай бұрын
I agree! Gym seems to be boring, I have more joy doing walks or other kind of physical activity rather than lofting heavy weights
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
But I think one can learn to enjoy it though. Once you start noticing results. I remember dreading going for a run as well.
@joannaz682 ай бұрын
That's true, you need to get used to do something to start liking it 👍

Ak defuser just came.. damnit i gotta assemble this thing, lol. It actually wasn't that hard to assemble. I guess it's designed to take apart and put back together but I'm sure that ruins the snaps after awhile.
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
Yeah you should be able to reassemble it many times.. ..hopefully :) And after you have done it a couple of times, it is pretty easy.
@joannaz682 ай бұрын
Make sure you won't disappear Micael 😂😂
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
I'm still at a BMI of 24.5, which is very close to overweight, and frankly not that healthy. So there is a bit of weight loss left before I disappear :)
@ericlundquist34662 ай бұрын
When you get your goal weight, wouldn't you need to up your calories to the right amount for size and lifestyle? Which in turn would re-add weight? I don't know if 800 is a lifetime sustainable calorie amount. Perhaps more lifting would drop more weight even though muscle weighs more than fat. What I do know is if you put your body into starvation mode, it will hold any calorie you put in it.
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
In theory there will be a perfect level of calorie intake where I keep the same weight. So when I reach my target weight, the plan is to find that level of calories and be strict about keeping it.
@stickysteph2 ай бұрын
ugh my scale is on the fritz too. It's the most annoying thing. Stepped on it 3 times in 2 minutes and it gave me 3 different weights lol! Great job, slow is best!

Can't the amount of fluids drunk also have an effect on personal weight - sometimes more fluids, sometimes less?
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
Yes it probably affects the weight short term. Other things such as weight training can also increase it short term. Or things such as short term constipation :)
@joannaz682 ай бұрын
I'm not sure myself, but my theory is that if you are sick, your body needs energy to fight the virus, and obviously calories are the source of the energy. From another hand, if you really poorly, you don't even feel like eating anything, so maybe my theory is wrong. Who knows, maybe everyone is different and needs different things to cope with illness
@ericlundquist34662 ай бұрын
Hopefully the sickness doesnt do the normal of coming in three's. Last couple months i was sick every other week with a total of 5x. Thats also because there's 7 kids in this place so when they go to school, they bring everything home with them.
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
Yeah since my kids started preschool my number of colds per year went from one to 10-15 😅
@trevorsneath46652 ай бұрын
Vitamin C Micael. Lots. 4000mg at least, across the day. You will be surprised at how much you don't get colds and flu. I started taking 4000~6000mg a day of quality vitC 8 years ago and have had 2 colds in that time. Before that I would have 3 or 4 a year. Give it a try.
@joannaz682 ай бұрын
I don't think that keep excercising and low calories diet when feeling poorly is a good idea, so well done for higher calories intake!
@19Photographer762 ай бұрын
You were hungry because your metabolic rate went up, probably due to an increase in your baseline temperature. Isn't staying healthy more important than weight loss? As they say, it's a marathon and not a sprint. Are you fighting genetics?
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
Yes it’s a marathon. But I won’t abort it because of a cold.

Congrats on being halfway. Weirdly going to the gym has sparked my insomnia. I average 3 hours a night for the last couple week's. Sucks. Could be weather changes too. Im not sure
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
That's very weird. Whenever I workout more I usually sleep better. I think you should just keep going, in the long run you should sleep better

I am actually stealing your weight over the internet. I've recently rediscovered iced cream 🫠
@th500e2 ай бұрын
I stopped eating sweets over four years ago. No chocolate, no ice cream, no chips. I sleep better and have lost 12 kilos in the first year. I feel clearer and my sense of taste is better. Sugar is unhealthy.
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
Wow those are great results. Agree that sugar is overall a bad thing. Both for health and longevity and for mental well being.

Interesting, i would think it would burn more with heart rate and all. I dont know first hand because running isn't my thing. Gotta quit smoking, i guess, and try it out lol
@cisium11842 ай бұрын
They burn the same number of calories per unit of distance. Running burns more calories per unit of time - basically because you take more steps in that unit of time. Put another way, you have to walk for a longer amount of time to burn the same number of calories as running. Interestingly, though, walking burns a greater percentages of its calories from fat than running does.

@leetipping99982 ай бұрын
I totally agree with this, sometimes counting calories can lead to an unhealthy obsession. But in my years of calorie counting experience, when I stop, it’s hard to arbitrarily stay within a reasonable caloric limit. When I track, it feels easy and motivating and keeps me on track with my goals. I always eat healthier when I know exactly what’s going into my body.

100 grams, that's nothing! My weight can vary around 1kg comparing my morning and evening weight! Thinking about it, it never bothered me, what I'm usually focus on is how lean is my body. Oh, and of course my clothes are very good indication of if I have put on weight or lost 😅
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
Yeah throughout the day I also vary by probably 1 kg. I only weigh myself in the morning to get a reference point that is as stable as possible.

I actually started a weight loss of my own one week after the first few of your videos. I know you do them for yourself mainly, but they really help me the same way a buddy to go to the gym with would. Regarding the sleep, yes, I started dreaming a lot more. Lucid dreaming too. I haven't had those since I was drawing 5 hrs a say years ago.

Good for you. I bought an ebike back in June of 2021. Cycling to and from Stockholm, and around Södertörn. I soon started to lose weight because of the much longer rides. Closing in on 22 450 kilometers. And I never bike without two Canon cameras.
@MicaelWidellOnLife2 ай бұрын
Wow that's inspiring to hear! Was your goal to lose weight or was that just a side benefit of getting the ebike?
@Steffe2 ай бұрын
@@MicaelWidellOnLife I started documenting Haninge with my cameras many years ago. Always using my bike to get around. Then three years ago I decided to focus more on Stockholm and that would mean longer bike rides and that is why I bought the ebike. It is a Dutch bike, a Gazelle. The range is up to 180 km. And the wightloss was just something I noticed.

That’s interesting. I watched this because you mentioned sleep as yesterday I had day 1 of my plan to lose weight, and I slept so badly last night, which is so unusual for me. Even after having a snack and hot milk it took ages to go off to sleep, and even then it felt like I was hardly asleep. Good to know it passes! Well done with your success so far 🎉
