My first time was in 1980 at the Steg. Horrible acoustics but an absolute blast. REM, Pylon, Love Tractor…what a great time to be in Athens.

34 years and several scheduling conflicts in CA before I could finally see the B-52’s in concert all the way across the country in Athens GA and to do it with two great friends for their first time as well, made it such a great experience. The arena was awesome to see on opening night with the minor-league hockey game, and to come back the next night for the concert was truly something I will always remember.

They were my favorite band in the 80s. I actually went out with his sister Suzanne one time but that was like 40 years ago. Wonder whatever happened to her😮

Saw the B-52's with DEVO and the TALKING HEADS many moons ago. Maybe not together but in short order. Extremely memorable music and people.😮

Personally I knew about and listened to the B52's before most people.I had the promotional release of their first album....Waaaaaay before it was released and in stores or played on the radio.I had the great fortune of being good friends with a record promoter.When he showed me the record I immediately was intrigued by this crazy new band.They were modern...different,and thats what I loved.It was probably 2 years after that when I first heard them on regular radio stations..

I dated two girls, both were B-52's junkies. Fell in like with them even though it's not my preferred genre. Now I introduce the B-52's to new girl friends. Saw them live at Penny Pincher second hand clothing store in Lincoln Park,MI. They were checking out the clothes before their show in Detroit. Wyandotte loves you Fred and ladies...💓 Thanks for being so cool back then too..🤙

So much fun! Way back circa 1980, I heard that Rock Lobster was inspired by a dinner at the Red Lobster on Broad Street. There were lobsters in a tank when you entered and you could choose your dinner. There was an advertising campaign by the restaurant featuring rock lobsters.

Thank you! My favorite band in the late 70s and still today! So cool to see them do this concert. I saw them in the early 80s at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston.

So glad the B's decided to not retire after they said they was. Seen them a lot of times back in the day. Last time I saw them was the Cosmic Thing tour.
