I hope it's ok to agree that "patina" is not for everybody. Would have preferred nice paint.

@stevemullin7472Ай бұрын
brilliant. i have the same transmission and jack and installing the transmission is the only job i actually hate doing. this should make that job suck less
@RecycledRacingАй бұрын
I would suggest adding some angle to it when you build the mount. Same angle that the engine would be at preferably.
@stevemullin7472Ай бұрын
@@RecycledRacing yes! I did this now by "blocking" out the air gap under the front with wood scraps. I secured bolted those to the jack mount plate. I did this while the transmission was installed and the angle was set. it helps but I still find myself fighting it hard on re-install. your setup looks much more stable.
@RecycledRacingАй бұрын
@stevemullin7472 I had to struggle some to get mine to line up perfectly. I was about an inch from sliding in (pilot bushing) so I ran some longer bolts through the trans and into the bell housing. This allowed me to get under the trans and slowly wiggle it in all the different spots until I slid in. And I even used a metal clutch alignment tool!

You will be doing it all over again without the hood on everything adjusts off the hood placement on Chevelle
@RecycledRacingАй бұрын
I got pretty close. But as I mentioned in the video, the next step was the hood and readjusting things. Did it one step at a time.

what would you do differently in that burn out to not break stuff ?
@RecycledRacingАй бұрын
At two points my clutch wasn't working, or my leg wasn't. So I just held the shifter against the 1-2 syncro, burning it up. I would not do that again and I think all will be well.

So let me get this right. Just to understand, I need a sensor ground (pin 26) to get my gauges to work? My rpm works but water temp, oil, and fuel pressure are not working.
@RecycledRacing2 ай бұрын
Oil and fuel pressure are ran through the main holley harness and into the holley ecu. That would be a separate issue. The sensor ground is needed when you are adding extra sensors as inputs into the holley pro dash. It may work with a normal ground circuit but won't be as accurate.
